Very good location for a stay in Liverpool, waterfront location was out of the fray but still close to everything, a nice, clean, new feeling room, tub, good bicycle storage. Also, good value cost for a big city hotel. Very nice staff (Frank the doorman was great)

Very Good
The room in general was really nice and relatively spacey. Everything looked neat and the hotel lobby bar was a nice place for dinner. Everything looked nice and was comfortable.
The hotel spa is a stain to an overall superior hotel. The spa looks like it has been 5 years in need for renovation and is crying for repair and overhaul. Facilities there are aged and do not look in good order. Also spa has several strange rules (maybe not in Britan) regarding kids and sauna, which is forbidden for under 16 years old.

Poor
Great location
I was extremely disappointed with the standard of the hotel room. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the rooms are extremely dated and in desperate need of a full refurbishment. The furniture and fittings were tired, worn, and far below the standard I would expect from a hotel of this level.
The biggest issue was the bed. The frame had collapsed, which made it feel as though I was sleeping on a slope every single night. It was incredibly uncomfortable and completely unacceptable. I reported this to housekeeping straight away, expecting it to be resolved quickly, but despite raising the issue nothing was done during my entire stay. This lack of action showed a complete disregard for guests’ comfort and wellbeing.
The air conditioning system was another major problem. It was the noisiest unit I have ever come across, to the point where it made it difficult to sleep with it running. On top of that, it offered almost no control – it was operated via a basic light switch, with no proper fan or temperature settings, which made it virtually useless.
Overall, my stay was very unpleasant, and I left feeling extremely unhappy with the condition of the room and the lack of response from staff when issues were raised. For the price paid, the quality was far below expectations, and I would strongly advise that the hotel urgently reviews the state of its rooms and facilities.
