The location was perfect in reach of everything the breakfast was spot on before we went I read the reviews and was a little concerned but we needn’t have been this hotel has a lot of history and the inside of the building is stunning so don’t be afraid to book the rooms are big and the beds are clean and comfy and the bathrooms are lovely you can’t expect a five star hotel at the price you pay but I would go back we enjoyed our 6 days stay

The inside of the hotel is absolutely unique. The fittings and fixtures are from a glamorous age and make for an interesting and fascinating stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Would love to return.

The location is brilliant as its right in the heart of the city.
We were really looking forward to spending Friday and Saturday night/the weekend in Liverpool and at the Adelphi Hotel and I was hopingI could aing it's praises in my review. However, the Adelphi spoilt our weekend somewhat. The car park is basically stone and gravel on a slant full of pot holes and appears unkept. Whilst it is called The Adelphi Hotel car park on Google you get no discounts and I was advised by the hotel it isn't associated with the hotel but then why do you have to register your vehicle with hotel? Whilst I appreciate the building is old, the quality of workmanship on the repairs is terrible. The outside is dirty and there is a distinct old, musty smell inside. The staff were not smiley and came across as unhappy and uninterested. There were several down and out/ undesirable people hanging around the hotel entrances (which made us question why as we didn't witness any at other hotels around the city all weekend). So much so you could feel quite vulnerable when entering and leaving the hotel. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and we only had 1 pillow each. There were stains on the walls and carpets in the room. No complementary toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast was below par with small plates, miniature sausages, thin sliced bread which was still frozen in the centre and the fresh orange juice tasted as though it had been watered down severely. There were alot of stag and hen parties staying while we were there as well as a couple of weddings which lead to having people shouting and banging doors in the corridors at all hours throughout the night. In hindsight I wish we had stayed elsewhere and we might have had a more enjoyable experience in Liverpool.One thing is for sure we will never stay there again.
