Accessibility and closer to local shops
There was no heating at all and my bathroom window was broken. I almost died of freezing and the wind.

Location hot water and water pressure, pleasant staff.
The room was like something from the 40s, the shower mixer at tap level was split so hot water never reached the shower head it just spirted all over the bathroom, the bed was like a jelly so soft and bouncy, the windows were difficult to open and close, the upholstery on the chairs in the bar area were degraded and looked dirty. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that.
We booked two nights but only stayed one, the manager did offer us a room change but we refused as we couldn’t imagine it would be any better. The manager was pleasant and the staff too so the above is not a reflection on them.

.In many ways I enjoyed an excellent stay, very nice room, comfortable bed but poor heating the single radiator was enclosed in a very ornate casing that prevented heat radiating into the room. The staff were extremely kind and helpful.

Not much!! One of the worst ive stayed in!
Most of it! Unfriendly welcome with most interaction being focused on the regular drinkers in the shabby bar! Room was old tired dirty and basic..also freezing cold with a small electric heater that wasn't switched on at arrival and hardly did anything anyway!
