Staff were nice, mostly chilled out.
Thin windows so noise from the street below was loud. People shouting, bin lorries, glass skips being emptied etc
Direct sunlight through the room. No decent curtains or blinds so we were woken by the light at 5am.
The noise from housekeeping started early. Probably around 7am. Harsh when someone is smashing doors or rattling a vacuum off the skirting boards and you have had a few drinks the night before.
Probably pretty harsh without the hangover to be fair.
All in all. Not a restful sleep.

Fantastic staff, great wine and cheese for first night, wonderful location from train. Room size bigger than Bath UK.
Our bed was not comfortable- could feel coils - should consider replacing.
They need more hooks- especially in bathroom, but by the door also

Very disappointing experience. Upon entering the room, I noticed what appeared to be bed bugs. I immediately reported the issue to reception and requested a different room, but I was told the hotel was fully booked and no alternative room was available. As a result, I could not stay and had to request a cancellation. The room was also below the standard I expected. I hope the hotel addresses these issues to prevent other guests from having a similar experience.

I stayed in a small attic style room which was perfect for me as a solo traveler. Loved the fact that it was within my budget and still provided all the amenities I needed. There was free wine and cheese at the cafe, during the evening social hrs which I didnt have the time to enjoy. Glasgow queens station is just one block across the street. great food options nearby.. I needed a comfortable safe place within my budget to crash for the night so that I can take the West Highland Scotrail train to Mallaig early next morning (8 Am!) -- this hotel and the room served that purpose 100% ..

It was available after booking.com messed up my original booking, having told me that any additional cost would be met by booking.com. They did not, of my additional costs £700 they compensated me £21. I would recommend that no one should ever book anything with booking.com their customer service unbelievably poor, staff poorly trained with basic English language skills.
I like the Z hotel and the staff are very professional, however, I would warn against anyone booking through booking.com. Shocking firm I would stay well clear behaving like scamsters cutting you off in mid conversation.

Only one window opened and the air con wasn't very good so the room was too hot
