The convenience, cleanliness, and ability to get food at all hours and store our luggage for a few hours after checkout.
We can hear each other use the bathroom!

Pleasant
The location was excellent - very central and close to the main train station.
The room was indeed tiny and a bit stuffy, but I knew that was what I was getting (booked the windowless room for budget reasons). The rooms are modern but the rest of the hotel is showing its age a bit.

Wonderful
I liked the complimentary drink and cheese plate for members who booked directly.
I accidentally double booked. Realized my mistake quickly, but they would not refund the extra room. Thought I might find an unhoused person and offer the extra room

This hotel has everything you need as a home base to explore Glasgow and the Highlands. It’s 0.3 miles to the Buchanan Bus terminal, starting and ending point for many tour companies, and 0.2 miles to the Queen Street train station, where you can catch a train to many Highland destinations.
The hotel is well appointed with fabulous staff. The cafe at the reception area has a full service bar and food menu that is available 24/7. This is very handy for those late returns from tours.
The room I had was very small but perfectly adequate for one person. If you are sharing a room someone will need to be either in the bed or the bath for you to move around and get ready. It’s very nicely decorated in a very modern style with a great shower.

Close to Train station perfect location to town centre and OVO Hydro, modern room with tea & coffee facilities, ensuite, Hairdryer, plenty of towels and really comfortable bed
Would have preferred a window but for a one night stay it was fine.

Convenient walking to downtown and rail.

The location was convenient for us because it was close to the train station.
The bed was the least comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on. The springs were completely shot and it sagged in the middle. We couldn't keep from both of us rolling into the middle of the bed. It was not a comfortable sleep.

Forget expensive Edinburgh....this hotel is perfect and the staff here great. The free cheese and wine at 17.00 is a game changer!

While the location was ideal, it was also quite noisy since the room looked over the front street. Lots of late night shouting and arguing in the street.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and allowed us to store our luggage the next day for a couple of hours after we checked out. Very appreciated.
The shower drain did not drain properly so we both had quick showers having to stand in soapy water that leaked into the main bathroom area. The sink was also slow draining. I don't understand how this wouldn't have been noticed by cleaning staff when the room was cleaned after the last guests. I did mention it to the front desk who were apologetic.
The large window could use a privacy film on the glass or something to afford more privacy from the outside. Otherwise the curtains had to be closed all the time, and the bed is right up against the window.

A nice friendly welcome. Easy to find my way around. Fresh, clean, tidy room with every need catered for. Restaurant near the entrance, so I could arrange to meet friends for a coffee just after I arrived. I could book breakfast at a reasonable cost.
Can't think of anything. The whole stay was just what I wanted.
