I stayed here for one night and, overall, it was a decent experience with a few unexpected quirks.
The location is excellent, right on George Square and within easy walking distance of almost everything you might need, including Glasgow's two main railway stations. Queen Street is less than five minutes away, while Central Station is also just a short walk.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful at both check-in and check-out. My room was clean, the bathroom was spotless, and there were plenty of towels provided.
he room was certainly compact! I was travelling alone and had a double bed, but even as a solo traveller it felt quite cosy. If two people were sharing the room, they might need to agree on a traffic management system! The bathroom has frosted glass walls, which provide privacy, but it might still be better suited to couples than to friends sharing a room.
When booking, I was given the option of paying extra for a room with a window rather than one without, so I chose the former. I was a little disappointed to discover that the "window" overlooked an internal public area of the hotel. Unless the blinds were kept closed, people walking past from the lifts or corridors could see straight into the room. As a result, I had the blinds down for my entire stay, which left me wondering exactly what I'd paid extra for.

The location was quite nice (and safe), in the direct vicinity of the city centre. Breakfast was good (even if expensive).
The room was sufficiently small that it didn't offer an actual desk to use as a study. Also it got fairly hot (but then, the weather was exceptionally hot).
