I saw some much nicer hotels in the west end for the same price (after I was already staying at the Kelvingrove) which led me to realise this place was way overpriced.

Wonderful staff, so helpful and friendly. Bed was extremely comfortable, and the location was perfect. Quiet at night.
Very loud groaning sounds whenever hot water is run or toilet is flushed. Tiny bathroom with fluorescent lighting. Minus the bathroom, everything was excellent.

Rooms were super small. Bathrooms need improvement. Shower door in one room didn’t close properly and the drains in both showers didn’t drain well.

Bathroom fan was loud, but even worse was a ridiculously loud pump sound anytime any water entered the drain!

The hotel was clean, in a great location for me, staff was friendly and helpful.
My room, 14, was in the basement, under the main entry and just across from the staircase that everyone used to reach their basement rooms. So I got the noise of other guests on that level coming and going, walking to and from the entry and the breakfast room. The plumbing made a series of loud growls whenever I used any water. The room was dark, the window was below street level. There was only harsh liquid soap, no shampoo, no face soap, no lotion. There were two lights mounted on the wall, but the switches were placed so that you had to get out of bed to turn them off. No extra blankets
