Quaint, conveniently located. Well appointed. Staff all tremendously attentive. Dinner exceptionally good.
Room was quite cold despite radiators at hottest setting.

Great old building in a great setting, with both the hotel and gardens well maintained. Stayed in a very spacious cottage room, which was very comfortable and quiet. Jamal on reception was exceptional in helping us out a number of times, but all the staff were great. Had both dinner and breakfast and the food was really good. Both the bar and restaurant were comfortable and a great place to sit back and relax. Would stay here again and recommend Sherbrooke Castle.

Grand old building, lovely foyer with sweeping staircase, Christmas lights and tree on display, tartan carpet. Staff were pleasant. Stayed in Junior suite, very large lots of room. Lovely bathroom.
Bed was not made up very well and bed linen was a little shabby, not what we expected for £154 a night. Bathroom toiletries were sparse, only two tiny little bottles. Lighting in room was terrible. We stayed there in early Nov and didn't have heater on but room was still too warm, we had to open windows overnight. It may be very hot in summer.
No lift to upper floors, and whilst it was a lovely staircase it was a hard climb with heavy luggage.

Staff are so friendly, and the venue is spotless. Our room was a great size and the location suited us well. Car park on site was handy but plenty of street parking too. 5 minute walk to the train station and 1 stop into the city. The restaurant was lovely, we sat next to the fireplace which was lovely for a rainy night. Our waiter on the evening was attentive and organised a wee mocktail for me which I really appreciated. (It was delicious and wasn't just juice and sprite). We would definitely book again and looks like a stunning venue for a wedding.
