The building is lovely
The rooms are old and out of date - bed had hair all over it - it was standard room outside the castle not even in the castle gave me “ executive room outside in the car park area “ the view was shocking of cars - bed had springs sticking out of it - didn’t even have room service she said the reception was very not good neither the way she was speaking was so condescending

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Sherbrooke Castle. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome from the staff made us feel at home. The hotel itself is stunning – a beautiful historic building with plenty of character, yet still offering all the modern comforts you could want.
Our room was spacious, elegant, and spotless, with lovely touches that made the stay feel special. The food was another highlight – breakfast was generous and delicious, and dinner in the restaurant was excellent, with great service throughout.
The atmosphere of the hotel is calm and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind after exploring Glasgow. It’s also conveniently located, tucked away in a quiet spot but still close enough to the city center.
Overall, Sherbrooke Castle exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of charm, comfort, and outstanding hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Glasgow.

The staff were fantastic, both customer facing and billing. I had a billing error at the end of my stay and it was promptly corrected after sending one email. The hotel is beautiful, inside and out. The bartender (late night attendant) was super-courteous and a pleasure to chat with.
The hotel is an older facility and we happened to stay on an unseasonably warm August night. So, the lack of air-conditioning was noticeable - not unbearable, just noticeable by two US based individuals who like very cold rooms.

We booked the place to experience a stay inside a castle. Unfortunately the rooms we got was outside the castle and not up to the mark. We travelled all the way from India just for this experience but was so disheartened

Well maintained. Pleasant and helpful staff. Well appointed room. LOVED the giant tub! The property is walking distance from some lovely parks. We had a lovely “explore” and returned to the hotel to a delicious dinner and a great soak in the bath before crawling in a perfectly comfortable bed.

The food and service were really exceptional. It's a lovely location, with easy access to the City.
We were in the annexe as we were travelling with our dog, and this was ideal as it was quieter and easy access to the outside. Nice big room with a window that we could open to keep it cool for the dog. Bowls and a bed were supplied as standard and much appreciated.
The main dining room has a designated area where your dog can be with you, which was really great, and when they say dog friendly, they really were, supplying water bowls without being asked. The staff were all very attentive, polite and professional The meals we had were exceptionally good. Beautiful presented and delicious.
We managed to park, but the parking area isn't large and a little tight if you have a big car.

Afternoon tea was very nice, restaurant staff very pleasant good choice in the menu
Unfortunately at 6am the delivery vehicles start arriving and the noise from the staff receiving the goods with no consideration for the guests, also we weren’t told you had to request milk for the room so couldn’t enjoy tea at 6am when abruptly woke up by the noise outside.

Lovely architecture for hotel. Location great for Pollock Park and South Glasgow, not so much for the city. Very friendly staff in reception and restaurant.
Room was very hot, some of the decor was a bit tatty.
