Disappointing
The location and views from the hotel are fantastic.
We chose this hotel over others as it advertised the "Sky Bar" to be open until 1AM and we wanted to relax after a long day.
We arrived at 11PM and was told it was closed and could only order room service.
The bed was 2 single matresses pushed together, rolling into the middle all night did not make it a good nigh for either of us

Very Good
Bright bedrooms and a lively welcome from the reception staff
The breakfast was awful. Having been to the hotel previously there was an option to order from the menu which was not there this time. The coffee machines broke down on the 2 days I was there and the staff were so rude when asked to sort it.

Pleasant
Second stay! Absolute gem and staff are incredible. Every single one puts all into their job and Fiona & Amy at reception were so attentive. Amy even helping us move!
First time we stayed there was a mix up with our room (booked a superior twin - received a king. This was fixed relatively quickly for a like-for-like room absolutely no fault here).
The exact same thing happened the second time (9th-10th March 2026). We had booked yet another superior twin with river view and was moved into a standard twin.
Obviously the room was clean & lovely but it wasn’t what we paid for nor was it discounted for the downgrade. They even told us the hotel was relatively quiet so it wasn’t due to lack of rooms.
Just unfortunate but please try and give people what they’ve booked for or at the price it should be upon booking.

Wonderful
Bright, modern hotel. Very comfortable. Good to have an in room safe and tea and coffee - hot choc was a bonus. Great shower. Huge bed. Jelly sweets in front desk delicious. Member of staff phoned for a taxi for me when checking out and it came in minutes.
The motion sensor lights in the bedroom were set to go off very quickly so when reading or relaxing in bed you were plunged into darkness. Had to stumble round to open the bathroom door - advice when phoned reception - to get the lights back on.

Wonderful
Close to the hydro, great for attending gigs! The bed was the comfiest hotel bed I think I’ve ever slept in! Staff were all lovely and friendly. Super clean.
Could be a bit picky but The carpets in the rooms are weird, almost feel more like rubber gym mats than carpet.

Fair
Room was spacious, breakfast was great and the location for the hydro was idyllic.
Staff completely disregarded my birthday request then made out that my message had not even been received, even when I had received a reply. When I asked about this at reception, stating I had asked in advance etc. the girl made me feel like a fool, didn’t offer any consolation or apology. Just said the message must’ve not made it - even though I showed her proof of the contrary. It really dampened my husbands birthday vibe, such a let down. Cold, young staff who don’t care.
