Ideal for the Hydro and I booked there for the night after attending a show there. Loved the decor, big room, lovely staff, and the view of the Hydro, Sec and Armadillo was awesome
At breakfast you couldn’t really see the labels on the pots at the buffet as it is rather dark there. It was very noisy u til about 6 as there was a private function on downstairs, but staff informed me of this and it wasn’t an issue really. The main problem was the lights which wouldn’t work once I got back to the room around 5, so thankfully it wasn’t getting dark yet. Someone came within 15 minutes and explained the sensor was in the bathroom so to keep the door open. Every 30 minutes the lights went off. It was super annoying, as I was watching tv in bed the whole evening but had to get up to sort the lights every half hour. That’s so annoying

I like the location for the secc and other music venues, the hotel has a good vibe and friendly staff.
The lifts get a bit confusing to start with.

Nice view for the location
The room smelled bad as we entered, seems like the shower drain was giving out a bad smell and was very noticeable. You can clearly hear people showering upstairs as their drain was in our ceiling...

The SECC is walking distance from the hotel I loved the room and the view from the room. The hop on hop off bus can be taken just outside the hotel
I wish there were more vegetarian options for breakfast. The room must be cleaned unless a Do Not Disturb sign is put up.
