Reception lady was helpful - got the noisy room workers to stop and got us fresh towels when our room didn't get cleaned
Lets start with the room layout room 625 - no where to plug in kettle so had to forfeit one lamp so we could make tea, lights and air conditioning on a timer which is crazy, sitting there reading at night and the lights click off and air con during the night also so the room becomes too hot! The room is very tired, holes in the wall, damaged table and chairs, cracked bathroom tiles, black mould in shower which is appalling for any room let alone a so called superior room with a view (there was no view) the mattress was awful and lumpy, both of us didn't sleep well, I had surgery on Monday and was recovering in room on Tuesday to be woken up in the afternoon by hammering and drilling from the room directly across- you could of let us know there was work being done at check in, we could of explained our need for a quieter room! Breakfast was a disaster- coffee machines out of order, there was one to serve the whole breakfast room which kept running out of beans and milk - we had to ask for fresh fruit as none had been put out - hot food seldom replenished - breakfast staff didn't seem to care at all! My first stay was a disaster, you asked me to trust you and stay again and true to your word the second stay was better, I did point out you should give out complimentary water and biscuits in room to help bring a higher 4 star standard so with that in mind I came for a third visit - never again will I stay! You are in no way a 4 star hotel. I also nearly forgot to mention, not once in a 3 night stay did our room get cleaned

Wonderful
It was bright and spacious. Breakfast was good. And having a car park space at the hotel was an added bonus.
That there was a private party in the Sky Bar which had extremely loud music till 2.30am and kept me awake.
This is why I gave score of 9 instead of 10

I love the view, and the property location is beautiful.
There was no flip flop in the room, although I didn’t ring the front desk to request for one. I believe it should automatically come with the room.
Complimentary breakfast should be introduced for the type of room that I booked.

Great location for the Hydro. Spacious room with good facilities and great view of the Hydro and the Clyde. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast had a good choice but very busy and only one drinks machine working. Helpful staff.

Great location for SEC/Hydro etc
Slightly underwhelming, clean etc and good breakfast, however while the room had a kettle and coffee pod machine, no actual tea bags, coffee pods or complimentary biscuit. Maybe just a housekeeping issue but you expect better at this price point.

Friendly team
I wasn’t expecting for the hotel to be a converted student accommodation building / room. It’s the bare minimum like Ikea cheap and cheerful but not comfort or cosy.

Room was clean and bed mattress was comfortable

Poor
Large rooms
It’s a party hotel, very busy. Pumping deafening dance music in the restaurant. Food was terrible. No-one helped with the luggage- staff were very young. Floor in our Jnr suite had stains, cracked tile in the bathroom, no pen/notepaper in the room and the tiniest rubbish bin. Stayed two nights and we seemed to miss having our room serviced.
