We loved staying here! The staff couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was superb; both continental and cooked. Location superb and our room was so comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Room was spotless and comfortable,slept really well. Was quite despite the fact it's in the middle of the city.
The only negative was the shower was almost impossible to regulate. It was either freezing or scalding.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and modern. It is also a good spot in Glasgow. The breakfast was yummy, extensive and very filling.

The location was good with stations and concert halls within a 10 minute walk. The breakfast was great
Being a weekend, the bar / restaurant was over full and noisy. Also the street outside was noisy most of the night as drunks roamed the street. That's not the hotel's fault of course but is due to its location and can't be avoided.

The bathroom had a little bit of “public toilet” smell to it, but it was fine with the door closed.

The staff were lovely and the continental breakfast exceeded expectations.
Good location.
The room (no. 4) lacked some basics:
The shower was faulty - lots of water coming out of the base of the hose at the taps. I did manage to shower but it needs fixing/replacing. Mentioned to staff when I checked out.
Lack of plug sockets - one double socket for everything. I looked to use sockets behind the bedside tables but they were old-fashioned round pin sockets so couldn't use those.
Also no mirror in bedroom, which makes it hard to know what you're doing when drying hair, etc. I managed to buy a small one in Poundstore on Argyle Street. Plenty of mirrors in bathroom but obviously no sockets in there.
Not thoroughly cleaned before I arrived as long hairs in bathroom - I have short hair.
Room could do with a bit of a revamp as bit tired-looking.
Given the issues above I don't think the price was good value for mid-week stay.

Good spot for a short stay, close enough to the city centre while being a place you can relax in, too. Being above such a homely bar is great, and having breakfast in front of the fireplace a real bonus.
All good, I was only there for one night, not sure I'd stay for a long period, but I don't think that's what the hotel is really for.
