The only thing decent about it was the location of the building
The first room I was given wasn't ready had things all over floor untidy and then gave me room 225 which was NOT acceptable I was repeatedly woken by a humming noise, there was no hot water and the Toilet filled with foam while I left the room for 2hrs

Only for the fact it was walking distance to the city centre .
The room was just a dump , disgusting ,filthy . Seems they are quick to take your money (over priced as well )than take the time and effort to clean the actual room it self. The carpet in the room was not cleaned properly , the furniture was not cleaned properly either . There was chewing gum stuck on the little unit next to the bed , stains on the wall heater , snot yes snot wiped on the wall as well as other stains/marks on the walls. A hole (looked like someone had punched a hole) in the bathroom door.The bathroom flooring was not even put down properly , it was a botched DIY job , mould , yes you read that right , mould around the bath it self. There was a stale /mouldy smell in the bathroom .This room should not have been advertised on booking .com full stop .Probably the worst hotel I have stayed at . So I would avoid staying here . Would not recommend it , unless you want to catch something .The hotel should be shut down and cleaned and renovated !

Location - very near to theatre
There was no toilet paper, only tissues. I asked reception about this and was told that the toilet paper was in a square box - this was definitely tissues not toilet paper.
When we came back to the hotel after the theatre about 9.30/9.45pm, the bar was closed.
There was no soap in the shower dispenser.
As my husband is 81, we would have appreciated a rubber mat in the shower as well as a grab rail for safety.

The staff were amazing and very helpful, The property was very clean and there was a great discount on the car park next door. Amazing service, staff available 24/7.
The only issue I had was throughout breakfast, the young lady on the till area, ( ginger hair) was very rude no hello or interaction at all, when we arrived for breakfast at 10am there was no food and I asked if anything could be made and only reply I got was " chef busy" then when the food did come out. There was a lot of foreigners in the restaurant who kept taking food by the dozen and again leaving other guests with no choice of eating. Service in restaurant has no control of guests, very untidy in food area around trolleys and coffee machines and did not like the sausages. Restaurant was very poor 2/10

the location was offsite and too dark outside, the staffs were very casual and there was no toileteries inside the room not even a telephone. we paid more than what we got. dissapointed

Hotel centrally located, short walk to all necessary amenities.
The building is quite old and does need a makeover, bit of a wait at reception, no mention of breakfast, wifi or where the room was located just given room key and left to it.

The room we stayed in had been recently refurbished
The reception team were particularly warm and welcoming and the staff members at the front desk the following day were also helpful.
The breakfast items could have been more attractively presented - but that might have required an extra member of staff on duty at what was a busy time.
