The front desk staff and kitchen staff were great throughout my stay, and the hotel is in a really good location for exploring Glasgow.
Breakfast was OK and plentiful, although I hadn’t realised when booking through Booking.com that it was continental only, as I didn’t feel this was clearly labelled.

Unfortunately, the biggest issue was cleanliness. My bathroom was spotless, but the bedroom itself had clearly not been cleaned properly after the previous occupant. The fold-down table and storage pockets were dirty, with hair and make-up residue around the table where it looked like it had been used as a beauty station. There was also dark hair around the room and the floor was so dirty that when I walked around barefoot on my first night, the soles of my feet were filthy.
I also really disliked the policy of rooms only being fully cleaned every four days. The hotel says there is a daily “micro fresh”, but I’m not sure what this involved because neither my bedroom nor bathroom bin was emptied. Four days is far too long to leave a bathroom bin, particularly for feminine hygiene purposes. The bedroom bin is also tiny and was practically full after putting just one empty drinks bottle in it.
There were other small things that made the hotel less practical for a longer stay. There’s no source of complimentary drinking water or other drinks, so you need to pay at the coffee station in reception. Storage consisted of two pegs with hangers on them, but once the hangers were being used they no longer fit on those legs there was nowhere else to hang coats or jackets. In Glasgow, where you can easily come back with a wet coat, that’s particularly inconvenient. There was no where else to put your stuff so you do have to live out of your suitcase for the stay.
I also noticed that the metal kick plates on doors throughout the hotel were visibly very dirty, including in the ground-floor toilet, which gave the impression that these areas aren’t cleaned regularly enough. On one evening I also couldn’t get out of the lift on my floor because someone was decorating the ceiling immediately outside it.
