Great city center location. Very quirky design and room layout
Lots of stairs to navigate. They have a small lift for the major staircase, but each of the floors have a collection of half/quarter staircases to navigate.

Wonderful
The rooms were large and clean and comfortable. The mint water in the lobby was nice.
Our room wasn't ready on time. They kindly stored our luggage and made a really big deal about luggage tags and security and then we saw that our bags were just left in a back hallway - absolutely not secure. And it's in a very downtown part of the city. Very central, but not that pretty.

Location.
Quiet atmosphere.
No anti-slip mat in shower.
Bedside lights are located too high to enable turn off from a sleeping position, for me.

The bar / cocktails are excellent.
It was ok but expected more for what we paid.
Room was well equipped but small with sloping rafters ceiling - I am 6’2”. I expected a larger room for what we paid. Also, worth noting that we were upgraded so room we booked may have been even smaller,

Close to restaurants and cafes. We walked to the Cathedral, Merchant City, and down to the river.

Location, staff overall good hotel.
Would not say I didn’t like anything about hotel however some attention to detail needed. Grout in shower very poor condition and tiles on floor badly stained at toilet with rust from metal toilet brush holder, about 20 different rings of rust from it made it look a bit untidy but over all a nice hotel. Is it worth £175 I would say yes but no more than that.

It's nice old houses get reused, although they might have levelled the bedroom floor...
Lots of corridors and corners, staircases, double doors - fun but not a clever layout. The lift was not accessible without stairs so we continued with the next staircase.

Excellent location, good breakfast.Nice ambience.
Elevator is not close to reception and several sets of stairs are required to gain access, anyone with mobility issues may struggle. There is a service lift at the side of the building for access to all floors but it's not ideal, however we managed.

They held our luggage for us for free because we arrived early. Breakfast was good and well worth it. We left too early on our second day but they packed up some pastries, fruit and juices for us to go. Good location to get to Central Station and to plenty of restaurants.
Our room was ready early (about a hour and a half) when we got back to the hotel but they wouldn’t let us in without charging an extra 20 pound fee (almost $40 CAD!) I have never ever had to pay to enter our room early when it was ready, so we just hung out in the lobby until 3 pm,
The room was a tad small, and the hallways were a bit of a maze with multiple doors. No big issues, just found it tricky to find our way back to the lifts.

This hotel has great value. It's like right in the center of stuff, and the room was really nice and clean. The concierge was friendly and let us check in early (even earlier than the 1pm early checkin that I purchased). They helped switch us from a two-twin-bed room to a single queen-bed room. And the breakfast buffet was tasty.
The hotel was also conveniently close to the Sixt car rental agency where we booked a car from the next day so that was easy to get to.
No major flaws, but perhaps a few small things to note:
- There's a few small sets of stairs between the lobby and the elevator
- The room is indeed quiet, we didn't hear neighbors or most street noise. But for maybe an hour or two in the evening (fortunately before we went to bed) there was a very loud street party with what sounded like a DJ. This might just be Glasgow party culture, but that one we could hear.

Wonderful
A beautifully crafted boutique hotel in the centre of Glasgow. We loved the art deco feel but with all mod cons. Staff were wonderful and the breakfast was excellent. We are going back again soon!
Rooms were a tad on the small side but the high ceilings made them feel expansive.
