Location. Atmosphere. Comfortable beds. Lovely bathrooms with great water pressure. Ambient soft lighting in bedrooms.
The only improvement they could make is to install either better lighting around a mirror or a moveable one you can take to the windows. Unfortunately the lovely soft lighting isn’t great for putting your makeup on!

Good service from the staff, upgraded room at my expense albeit a nice room. Quiet room was provided when asked which was great.
Noise coming from toilet was not fixed when notified.
Restaurant does not take anyone past 9pm which for me is very early considering I am a guest. Would not seat me even though I was there at 8.50pm.
Was a mystery payment on my bill that had to be questioned even though I paid everything in advance, very surprising.

Staff were so friendly and helpful
Room was super comfortable and I loved the location it was away from city centre but close enough
Did some amazing walks
Had the Beef wellington for dinner which cooked and served exceptionally
The bar staff were also super friendly chatting to my husband abt the different Whiskeys

Lovely building with stained glass windows and sweeping staircase. Bathroom were very modern with a fabulous shower.
Parking restrictions are a bit of a nuisance but staff were very helpful directing us to local free parking so wouldn't stop me booking again.
