The staff were fantastic- helpful, positive and generally lovely
We booked 2 months in advance. The week of our stay, the hotel had suites available for the price we paid for our standard room. This feels very unfair.

Wonderful atmospheric hotel , especially beautiful at this time of year! We had a an extremely comfortable room, with all amenities you could ever need.
The staff , as always, were very welcoming and helpful,nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to all.

Location
Cold room, bathroom very cold. Outdated heating system that did not work well.
Breakfast average, fruit salad consisted of some chopped melon and pineapple.

Mattress could do with replacing, almost felt I was lying at an angle with a bit of a divot where people obviously sit in bed and watch tv, I’m a pest with mattresses though ;P

Food was excellent, and staff were friendly and helpful - a good welcome from everyone.
Room was comfortable but overhead shower was inflexible and needs updating .
Overall, we had a great time!

Stunning property, great location, large top rate room.
Small problem with plumbing. Shower very slow to drain with lots of gurgles. But its an old property. Expected.

Lovely room, big comfortable bed; loved the dressing room. Public rooms were charming and dressed so beautifully for Christmas
