Disappointing
Boxing event on at the Hotel same night as my stay, trouble outside the window, Police in attendance after a while but nothing was stopped, no security to be seen, car music blaring and engines revving obnoxiously all night, music blaring from surrounding rooms till 3-4am, only up side was leaving for work at 7am next morning

The chap at reception was very helpful and chatty and booked taxi for us. Room was suitable for our needs and it had a bath.
The breakfast was the worst cooked breakfast I've ever had at a hotel, 'cooked' to order as it was quiet. The bacon, lorne sausage, black pudding were dripping on oil. Luckily i asked for a poached egg so i had that with the beans, link sausage and toast. The continental selection was minimal.

Best part was entering the reception 2nd best part was leaving.... carpets curled up at corners and awful 80ish style rooms tatty torn headboard...and we could hear nextdoor fart basically ....... very misleading from what you think youre getting when walking into the reception..(bright and modern ).. was charged 104...for room 208. its a hostel at the best.... not a chance in hell worth a penny over 50 quid.....
The entire room..... sound proofing.... me not having to ask you to break a party up at 4.30am .... room 208 needs condemned till you give it a serious updating....

Although I was a lone traveller.
Very nice and clean double room. Comfortable bed.
Booked my stay late at night for the same night sray at just under £100.00 Saturday to Sunday.
Phone signal was none. I'm with EE.
Was struggling to find wifi password.
Went back down to the front desk to be told that you just log on via your email. Simple but didn't realise this and was looking for instructions in the room.
Can get quite noisy due to airplanes just by the hotel.

Room was in a terrible state .dirty with carpet coming loose .headboard all damaged and skirting boards off wall with electrical wires exposed.toilet door was insecure and didn't close .some lights In room did not work and I was scared to plug TV in .a disgrace that I was charged nearly 100 pounds to stay and I have bites on my legs after stay .

Remember the Normandy of old as being first class but so many other establishments I have returned to have fallen in standards over the years. The Normandy is still up there.
Ensuite bath was tiny and enquires in general a bit dated and in need of refurb.

Value for money friendly helpful staff clean rooms comfy beds good location would definitely stay again and recommend
Plenty off choice for breakfast but it wasn't very warm, you can ask for it to be heated as there's a micro in the kitchen. But to be honest I'd prefer the microwave near the food dinner was hot and delicious.
