The ground floor seems to have been recently refurbished. Our bedroom was large and spotless but dated but I hope when refurbished the character of the room will not changed. Excellent location and once the square opposite is complete the hotel will have a splendid outlook. Super friendly staff and excellent breakfast.

Nice, large, clean rooms with tea making facilities.
The lengthy wait at reception and what felt like an interrogation when I checked in all because my email address is still in my maiden name. Despite giving the Booking.com reference and my name, I thought I was going to be turfed out on the street.

Great location close to Queen Street Station. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet.
1. Hotel is ‘tired’ - rooms really need modernising in terms of power sockets etc
2. Big Works going on outside the hotel reducing bookings and foot fall so no evening meal available in the hotel

Great location and massive comfortable bed. Good view over George Square which unfortunately is a building site right now
Decor is old and dated.
Shower was terrible - couldn't even get enough water pressure to use...ended up checking out without a shower

There were no plugs - even for the kettle. Plug was behind the TV and meant kettle was directly over a number of wires - dangerous!

Room was a good size and would have had a good view except that St George Square is all torn up and being redeveloped, not a noise issue but it did affect walking around.
The room furniture and fittings were looking tired and the bathroom was not good. Toilet did not flush well. The shower was good.
