Location
The hotel was a little shabby. My room didn't seem to have any ventilation, quite stuffy. You could not open the windows. The room also smelled like bad body odor, especially the pillows. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. However, the staff was quite good.

Location is brilliant when travelling via train. Shops and restaurants close by.
Breakfast was a let down. No veggie option on the cooked breakfast . Scrambled eggs were awful, floating in water. A plug socket didnt work, TV signal needs retuning as BBCS unwatchable. No hairdryer in the room.

Breakfast was terrible. We had the cooked buffet. Eggs where sloppy, sausages burnt, even the orange/ apple juice tasted watered down. Really disappointing as the actual resterant area was lovely.
Fruit area needed it's own tongs per fruit, my wife is highly allergic to kiwi and cross contamination would have caused a "nut" type allergy. (Or just take kiwi away)

The location is very good and central. Right next to the train station.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was alright. We have had much better, but was absolutly fine tho
We stayed there 20 odd years ago and it was a superb hotel but id say there has been no or very little done to the hotel since then. The rooms are very dates and very tired. Its a real shame as it is in such a great part of the city.
The property was very tired looking. Broken parts on some of the furniture and beds and just overall scruffy looking. Its such a shame as its was once a great hotel.

Pleasant enough stay for a Central Hotel, which was comfortable
Bit dated and few minor repairs required in bathroom, also bit of dust found but nothing major that cannot be fixed
