Breakfast too expensive so we didn't have it. Location good. Very friendly staff.
Parking arrangement with Qpark was a disaster. Booking with discount code didn't work, so staff advised we could press buzzer and the qparks would apply discount. Qpark staff did NOT do that so our parking was extortionately expensive.

The staff were all very pleasant and friendly.
The Club Deluxe bedroom offered tea & coffee options, along with a large bottle of complimentary water in the fridge, which was appreciated.
Nice toiletries were available in the bathroom with a fantastically large mirror and good lighting. Beautiful soft clean towels in the bathroom and nice white bed linen.
The cooked breakfast was extremely nice, and the restaurant was a good size. Compliments to the breakfast chefs and their team.
Bar area was a good size.
Sadly the lighting in the club deluxe bedroom was very poor. I had to use my torch when attempting to select clothes from the wardrobe. Sensory interior lighting would have been appreciated.
There was a good sized dressing table with mirror, which could have doubled up as a work space but sadly it was a very dark space due the lack of lighting. Under-shelf lighting and a mirror with lighting could have easily resolved this problem. As a result, I had to use the bathroom mirror when applying make-up which meant I had to either straddle the toilet, or carefully kneel on the closed lid, with my other foot on the ground to be able to get close enough to the mirror.
The bathroom was very tired and didn’t seem to have any extraction fans which meant the mirror steamed up exterior quickly.
We found the restaurant rather dark due to the low light levels, and again there was a lack of extraction. When guests placed their bread through the toaster a second time, the bread burned: leaving the area smelling of burnt toast, and your clothes absorbed the smell.

Lovely bar and breakfast area. Lovely welcome on check in, however staff failed to notice we had opted for room upgrade. We went back and asked and upgraded, however I felt that that was an inconvenience.
Upgraded to junior suite. Although it looks appealing on first glance, the room is a little tired as couch was ripped and covered with a throw, radiator had been previously leaking and skirting is water damaged. Floor boards were so squeaky and noisy . The shower pressure was shocking, came in waves.

I was in room 258 and the noise from what sounded like an air conditioning unit outside my window made sleeping impossible.
The following day when I raised this I was advised that if I left my details the manager would call me as per my request, this did not happen but I did receive and email from him advising of a 25% discount which did not allow me to fully discuss the issue and was simply advised I should have told reception at the time, at 1am the last thing I would wish to do is move room or discuss with anyone

Room was beautiful, came with a bathtub which I loved! Bed was comfortable as well! The restaurant was great in the hotel and staff pleasant
Location is a bit challenging (walking) from city center in the sense that the hotel is up the hill from the central train station, but a little sport wasn't too bad. I just didn't know to expect it.
