Disappointing
The staff were lovely, we felt sorry for them when we raised concerns about the condition of the hotel as the clearly agreed but were not able to express their feelings.
The property is tired, it needs a renovation to bring it up to current standards. The floor boards throughout the hotel creaked which woke us several times in the night. Furniture is chipped, scratched and tired. The leather sofa in our suite was stained all over, tables chipped, poor paint work throughout and carpets threadbare throughout the hotel. The photos do not reflect the dilapidated condition of the hotel. We asked if we could move room but were told all the rooms were in a similar condition.it is very dark throughout the hotel, so if your eyesight is poor please be aware.

Room was nice, albeit small
Breakfast: I didn't expect to have to queue up at a very slow coffee and toast machine in a hotel of this stature. It would be so easy to ask guests whether they want coffee or tea when being seated when entering the breakfast room. This is what I'm used to elsewhere. Breakfast was very slow and we saw lots of mistakes with orders.

Very nice accommodation - a little bit quirky! Excellent breakfast and good evening meal in the restaurant.

I liked the hotel, not to far from city centre.
The hotel is cashless and for this reason I would not stay again, cash should be accepted as payment in the hotel. Not everyone like to pay by card

Lovely stay and perfect for going to a show at kings theatre.
It wasn’t clear that I needed to pre book parking to get the discount, so make sure you do this.
