The staff was super friendly and The Hotel itself was very stylish
It was extremely hot in the room and the small fan. I couldn’t leave on overnight as it was quite noisy.

The food was great albeit no trout available from a fairly short menu. What we had was delicious.
It’s just so dark. The rooms need more lamps. I had to use my phone torch to see in the wardrobe.

The location was good
The room we stayed in was not very clean, particularly the bathroom! Room exceptionally dark, which we expect in a Malmaison room but this was very dark! No mirror other than inside cupboard door, which had to prop open to use as
door kept closing! Very very dated and in desperate need of an update and good clean.

Very fancy and welcoming. The decor was my style and the bedroom was very comfortable. I also loved that they had Taylor’s coffee bags rather than smelly instant.
It was a little too far outside the centre for my DM boots but that’s not the hotels fault. It’s mine for picking stylish but unpractical footwear.

Hotel room was clean, spacious and the bed is the best hotel bed I have slept on! The day we stayed was extremely hot and we thought it was such a nice touch that the fan was on, ready and waiting for us to arrive. Certainly made our stay much more enjoyable.
Staff were very welcoming.
There's nothing we didnt like.

No view from the room. Parking nearby is expensive.

Overall a good experience-staff friendly and room clean and fresh with all you needed
Decent breakfast
The dining room( which I fully appreciate is in the basement) was quite dark with no natural lighting and little artificial light)-
The hotel is up a steep hill-again didnt realise so partly my fault!-could cause problems for people with mobility issues
