The room was a great size with loads of room, breakfast was a bit of let down as the food was not hot and not enought room to toast bread when other items are around it and people reaching over each other
the cost of the drinks in the hotel are extortionate for what we got compared to prices around the area

Staff we lovely and friendly. Room was a good size and bed was comfortable.
Need plug sockets and surfaces near mirrors and more surface space in bathroom. Asked for an extra duvet and a blanket was sent up (it had a previous users hair on it).

I loved the location, the discounted parking right next to the hotel, and the warm, welcoming staff. The beautiful interiors and lovely lounge created such a nice atmosphere. I especially appreciated the personalised note and little treats in the room, which made the stay feel extra special. The online check-in was also quick and easy. Overall, a lovely experience with thoughtful little touches that made a real difference!
A few things unfortunately affected our stay. The bathroom could have been cleaner; we saw visible mould around the pipework. The coffee machine was also mouldy, including the water tank, so we couldn't use it to make coffee.
However, the biggest issue was something we discovered completely by accident. There was a locked door in our room that we initially thought was a cupboard. At night, we noticed light coming through the gap underneath it, and later I woke up to someone coughing... it genuinely sounded like someone was in our room! I thought I was imagining things or that someone was coughing in the corridor. Little did I know…
When we left, we saw the cleaners in the room next door and realised the door actually connected our two rooms! There was just a simple wooden door between us and the other guests, with a gap underneath. So yes, we unknowingly shared a partition with strangers throughout our stay! Honestly, this felt very strange and uncomfortable. The main entrance to our room had a lovely, solid door, so discovering that the room next door was separated from us by what felt more like an internal cupboard door was quite a surprise! If I had known this beforehand, I would definitely have asked for a different room. I understand connecting rooms can be useful for families travelling together, but if that's the purpose of the door, it would help to know in advance. I'm not sure whether all rooms have this setup, but it was a very unexpected discovery and definitely affected our sense of privacy and comfort. We loved so many things about the hotel, which made this particular issue even more disappointing.

Good location. Central to all amenities. Fantastic shower. Loved that YouTube worked on the tv. Angus who checked us in was lovely and so welcoming.
