Nice and clean ... food was good
Having been there as a group ... for something to eat and catch up.... felt that when meals were finished there was no area to sit and relax and talk .. felt as though you've been fed now get out..

Pleasant
The restaurant was lovely and the beautiful scenery.
The sauna door wouldn’t close basic kitchen essentials- no kitchen roll or cloths.
You had to be out the hot tub and sauna for 11pm and we’re not aloud in the following morning, we checked in at 5pm so by the time we had dinner etc we only had a few hours in the spa facilities.

Pleasant
Good comfortable rooms
Nice surroundings
Good views
Plenty of parking
The staff seemed inexperienced in customer service which lets the place down compared to previous stays. We had been charged twice for drinks but the waitress was adamant we hadn’t paid the first time and did not come back to acknowledge she was wrong once it was resolved we had in fact already paid.
Asked staff at breakfast for a pot of tea as the boiler is difficult to get at given small breakfast area and people waiting but they wouldn’t provide. All other hotels would bring you a pot of tea as standard.

The ambience. The lovely staff. Helped with my coeliac, and getting us taxis. The Christmas feel added to everything. Great view from our room. Very quiet. Could see the horses. Room bigger than expected. My feeling is paying a little more for a delux room was worth it.
Nothing really. Thought the bar prices were a bit helfty.

Very Good
Great service, food was lovely. Welcoming receptionist
Cushions on bed were very tatty and well used.,would be nicer without them. Only a couple of milks with coffee and tea selection. One tiny shampoo and one tiny body wash between two was very little. 4pm check in and 11 am check out is quite short for the money , A bit expensive for what you get.

Disappointing
We booked a chalet with 1 double room 1twin room, the double was not available so we're allocated 2 twin room. No reduction in cost was offered. The weather was foul, (not Ingleston's fault) however the car got stuck in the snow outside the chalet and it took us until the following morning for them to help release it.
Worst of all because I was sprayed with mud trying to release the car I decided to remain in the chalet to get cleaned up, leaving the family in the chalet to carry on with the reason for our visit. I went for a shower and checked how to set the temperature which was too hot, so managed to get it sorted while wearing the house coat, supplied by the staff. When I turned round to leave the cubicle I stepped on a towel I had laid on the floor due to the floor tiles not being non slip surfaced. The towel slipped and I ended up on the floor with my head hitting the WC. I was conscious but with a fairly heavy blow to my head. I was unable to get to my phone as it was in the main room. I lay there for about 15 minutes before being able to get to my phone, so decided I need not contact staff or disturb my partner who was with our grandaughter attending an event at the hotel. I did get my hair washed in the shower and washed my face and hands without actually using the cubicle and spent the remaining afternoon time stretched out on the settee watching TV until my partner returned and contacted reception. They showed concern and sympathy but no mention of any compensation but did offer a first aider to check me out, which I refused. The pain in my head and wrist did not heal properly for a short time later.
This did reduce my enjoyment of my attendance at the event but It not last too long afterwards.
I had to contact reception in the morning after, to assist with the moving of my car from where it was abandoned the night before.
The reception staff did show some concern but if had gone wrong, there was no way of calling for help and the floor tiles should be of non slip construction.

Love the festive vibes and the horses! Palomino’s staff are so friendly and attentive.
Bed wasn’t the most comfortable but the room was lovely.

Very Good
All that we asked for prior to arrival was there. Very good breakfast. Nice room, pillows needed up dating! Evening meal was very good.
Re the above regarding pillows. Price's of wine etc., rather expensive! no cheaper option's.
