Very Good
Easy checking in and out, polite staff, clean and practical room. The location is also very good.
The bathroom is a bit smaller than you'd want, but it is certainly clean and has everything you need.

Location 3 mins walk from Kings theater. Value of stay
A mix up in that I had paid via booking . com but it wasn't showing on hotel system. I ordered hot chocolate at the bar at night and we waited quite a while seemed to be a problem - hot chocolate lukewarm. Apart from that all as expected

Good
Good price for what we got I would say. Friendly staff. Everything was clean.
Room was really cold and moist, which we did expect for Scotland in general but thought a chain hotel would not have the issue. It was so humid you sweat strangely during the nights, it was also quite cold. There was one movable heater in the room, but it was really loud to use so couldnt be used during the night and it was not very effective. We did get extra duvets upon request, so it was ok to sleep, but could have been more comfortable.

Pleasant
Ideal for short term stay. Unfortunately our air-conditioning did not heat and we didn't see the fan heater until morning so had a cold night. Hotel is located just a block from the Main Street so handy to the mall area. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly. Parking was nearby and validation was a welcomed bonus. This hotel suited our budget and requirements with overall rating pleasant.

Great location and friendly helpful staff.
The toilets didn’t flush very well and the breakfast room was too small for the number of tour groups. It was chaos in the mornings.

Very Good
Room is big enough and the bed is comfortable. Stuff was welcoming and fixed some issues quite fast.
It's a good option for its price (around 65 pounds/night).
The sink in the bathroom was blocked so the water didn't come through. But it was fixed straightaway after I told the stuff.
The toilet flashes really loudly (like on a plane)

Pleasant
The breakfast was very nice , well cooked and plentiful.
The TV did not work properly in that not all channels listed were available. Some channels came in and out .
There did not seem to be wifi available.
A faulty alarm rang at 3 am and all guests had to evacuate , this was terrible for .y jetlag as my brain thought I was back on New Zealand time ?.

Disappointing
Too much air freshener in my room to cover up the unpleasant smell. I spoke with the frint desk that I have allergy about the scent and they just told me to open the windows and I did but it was of no use. So I have to wear a mask all the time even while sleeping.

The in-room ironing facility to me here was disappointing. While on work visits its much better to be able to iron in-room and not have to go to a room on a different floor to iron clothes as was the case in this hotel

Good
Location and cleanliness.
Coffee maker for breakfast is a very stupid design. Nobody was able to operate it and the instructions were terrible. This caused a backlog at the coffee maker causing us to rush through breakfast.

Pleasant
Overall good hotel for the price with good location.
There are really loud construction sites around the hotel as of now may 2025. That made it impossible to sleep past 7 am
