Wonderful
Clean and the staff are professional and accomodating
I’m happy with our stay in Ibis Sauchiehall , just only the temperature of the room is quite warm. But in totality, I’m satisfied

Poor
Central location; room was fine other than the plastic toilet and shower "pod". There isn't much else to like. Very average for the price.
Where do I start? If you are offered a first floor room facing on to the street, ask for a different room. Throughout the night a number of people gathered just outside the hotel entrance to smoke cigarettes - there is a large ashtray just beside the front door. Talking finally ended around 3:00am. A room to the rear or higher up the building probably won't have this problem.
Then there are the fire doors. I totally appreciate that fire doors must have closers fitted but the ones on the first floor were not set correctly with the result that they BANGED shut (not closed gently) throughout the night, so I got very little sleep. I don't know if this is an issue in other parts of the hotel. Also, the windows on the first floor were filthy!

Staff were excellent, brilliant service and genuinely very nice.
Location is ridiculous to call this Ibis Sauchiehall Street this mis information led us to be walking around the place after parking the car in Elmbank crescent in soaring heat with a large case, it took us around 30 mins to realise that your hotel is not in Sauchiehall Street so very bad from your marketing team.

Location. With people hanging about outside. Said bar was open late but when we wanted to purchase a drink it wasn’t open and was told to go type hotel round the corner.

Pleasant
The staff member who checked us in was friendly. Our dog was made welcome. The location was convenient and the breakfast was fine. Because we had the dog we actually had to eat in the neighbouring Novotel which was much nicer than the Ibis, so that worked out ok.
The room and bathroom were tiny. It felt like student halls of residence. Very noisy at night, everyone seemed to be slamming doors and chatting in the corridors.
There are a lot of people living at the hotel, migrants and other people who would hang out outside. It could feel quite sketchy. I'm glad I wasn't staying on my own.
