Staff extremely helpful reception staff in particular. Room was clean, comfortable and well equipped Breakfast was excellent- wide range of choices and prefer self service style - only small criticism was cooked breakfast seemed to cool very quickly.

Very picturesque location on the Clyde..close to the city and amenities. The staff were not particularly friendly…not one smile from reception to the bar and restaurant.. The food was okay…had our first taste of haggis, which was quite surprisingly pleasant…

Location was fine, full time staff
The AC in the room didn’t work at all and it was very hot in the room, we asked multiple times for it to be checked and was told it was the highest priority but it was never checked, then they flat out said they wouldn’t check and we had to ask for a fan. The safe also was broken and didn’t work. We should have been offered a new room. When asked for an extra towel, the staff was resistant to giving one.

We paid around £400 for a two-night stay at Hilton Garden Inn Glasgow and the service was extremely disappointing. Room service was completely inconsistent. At 9:30pm I was told it wasn’t available, yet my partner called separately and managed to get a drink delivered. The following morning we were told it was closed again, then at midday told to wait until 1pm. Then came the food: £20 for four chicken tenders plus a £5 room delivery charge. They looked more like tent pegs than chicken tenders. £25 for four of them was ridiculous. The TV/smart features also weren’t working as expected and our requested room/view wasn’t accommodated. I formally complained while we were still staying at the hotel, giving Hilton an opportunity to put things right. I received no response. Then came the unbelievable part. After checking out, Hilton called me. Seeing the hotel number, I genuinely thought they were finally calling to apologise or address my complaint. No. The reason for the call? “We haven’t received payment for your two-day stay.” I was gobsmacked. I explained that I’d already paid using Apple Pay at check-in and the payment was showing on my account. So after poor service, £25 chicken “tent pegs”, facilities not working properly and an ignored formal complaint, the only proactive call I received was Hilton asking me to pay for a stay I’d already paid for. For a Hilton-branded hotel, I expected considerably better.

Very Good
Clean, comfortable, rooms well equipped. Pretty good value for money too for a City hotel. Very much enjoyed the seating area beside the river. Ample nearby parking too.
The bar prices are a little steep, but it’s a city hotel I guess. The hotel overall offers pretty good value for money for the standard of room you get.
