Excellent communication from the hotel at all stages. Staff were so genuinely welcoming on arrival, they put a lot of effort into customer service and seem proud of their hotel which is always a good sign. I was pleasantly surprised to get a courtesy phone call checking we were happy, when we were in the room! We got a lovely upgrade due to circumstances that were outwith the hotel's control, which was generous of them. The superior room we had was really spacious, the bed was so comfy I took a photo of the mattress and pillows so I can put them on my shopping list! It was nice to have a kettle and a sofa in the room. The area was quiet and the street was clean. Our room had an expansive view looking south and nice big windows to let the sun in. The bathroom was well equipped with shower over bath which was clean and efficient. I liked the complimentary slippers and robes. The lobby and bar area are really lovely, the pool looked clean and inviting, but we didn't go in the end. We parked in a car park on Washington street which was very reasonable. The hotel is a great location for walking into the centre and really easy to drive to off the M8. There are bars, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. We walked back to the hotel form the centre on a Saturday night and it felt quite safe. I didn't see a standard twin or double room, but I am confident that they would be comfortable and clean just as the superior was. I can see why people return to this hotel and I will too!

Breakfast was mediocre would like to have seen some coldmeats and cheese for continental choice

Nice room, clean, quiet and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Very nice fitness center.
Location. A bit of a walk from train station and there are no restaurants or shops near the hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful
The hot water wasn't working but we were only told after we paid. We thought it was a minor issue but after being in the room for 2 hours it was still off - and not just the hot water, but all water. This meant the toilet wouldn't work etc. There was no communication at all about when it would be fixed.

Perfect and clean and walking distance to bars and restaurants
Not the hotels fault but hot water wasn’t working, had people fixing it while we stayed so couldn’t bath/shower first night but staff gave us free late checkout as a compensation
