I enjoyed staying at the hotel. The room was clean and tidy and i enjoyed going to the swimming pool and sauna. I ordered food a spicy pizza and nachos and the food was excellent and good value for money.
Tip for travel: going down Argyle street it is recommend to get a taxi to save time. to get back to the argyle street takes about 15 mins but by taxi less than 5 mins and only cost £8 per time you use the taxi.

swimming pool, staff, rooms, cleanliness,
Breakfast was good but could be better. They need to add maple syrup, pancakes, and more pastry and fruit options.

The location was good. Front desk staff pleasant. Pool looked nice.
Very disappointing and seriously overpriced
This hotel feels like an older property that is trying to present itself as a modern hotel, but unfortunately the result falls well short. For the price, I expected a much higher standard.
The bar is expensive and, disappointingly, does not accept cash. The rooms are an odd mix of old furniture and newer items, which gives them a dated and mismatched feel. In our room, the sink tap wasn’t even properly fixed to the sink. Even the front doors looked old, with new locks fitted and wooden patches visible where the previous locks had been.
The swimming pool looked nice, but unfortunately we couldn’t use it because a group of children were having swimming lessons during our stay.
The biggest issue was the price. We paid an extortionate £625 for one night for two double rooms. After speaking to other guests, we discovered that some had paid around half of what we had paid, which made the cost even more difficult to justify.
One member of our party is diabetic, and there were no evening facilities or vending machines available where he could get a snack during the night. When we asked the staff for help, they were not particularly helpful, and my son eventually had to go out and search the city for a shop that was open all night.
Breakfast was another disappointment. For the price we paid, I expected a much better offering, perhaps a cooked-to-order menu rather than a buffet. The food was sitting under heated lights and was dried out, tasteless and generally poor quality.
Overall, I simply cannot justify the price we paid for the standard of the hotel and the service we received. At £625 for one night, I expected a considerably better experience. Based on what other guests told us they had paid, I would certainly question the value for money here.

Disappointing
Some of the staff were excellent (but this was overshadowed by under-staffing and poor training of other members of staff). Beds were clean.
One member of staff was somewhat dismissive of a complaint/query regarding accessibility and facilities. He did subsequently try to arrange other options which proved to be unsuitable. Whilst a bar meal on one evening was a success, a service charge was added without notice. And a bar meal on another evening was a disaster - slow service, server didn't understand order, food cold but overcooked, efforts to rectify so slow that we cancelled the order, leaving us with limited options for food at 9pm. Some bar staff didn't speak very good English and didn't appear to be trained in some basic orders. Drain smell in room and leisure club changing area. Cupboard with fridge in room was very warm and the fridge had a musty smell which we reported but which was not actioned. Standard of housekeeping was inconsistent, even non-existent some days.

Very Good
Clean crisp interior. Nice spacious rooms.
The breakfast was a let down.
For a vegetarian it was limited. For the kids they only had a sekection of three cereal, all of which they did not like.
