I loved that it was in a quieter area. I loved how friendly the staff were.
It’s nothing on the property, just that while I was there the fire alarm went off. But the staff handled it well.

Great location, with a large, clean room. The girl on reception at check in/out was really friendly
The service at the bar was unusual. We knew the bar closed at 10.30 but there was nobody behind it at around 10pm. We asked reception how to get a drink and he told us to wait for new staff to come. We had to sit around for a bit then ask the staff who came in to help us. It turned out they were cleaning staff but they served us anyway.

Easy self check in before arrival, friendly staff on arrival and an unexpected room upgrade! The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Lovely breakfast.
The fire alarm at 6am was not a pleasant start to the day, however, it is a relief that it woke us up after a night on the cocktails which makes you feel safe and it was a false alarm so all good.

Disappointing
The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable.
The breakfast was excellent. Dining staff were lovely too.
The bath and shower water were both brown so we couldn't shower or bath all weekend. I did mention this to the manager who gave me 20% discount. It was still expensive considering we couldn't wash all weekend. I kept running the water to see if the brown had gone but it was there all weekend. The manager said they had some plumbing issues. The water left a black oily residue as wel, it was pretty gross!
On our first night we reported that our door wasn't locking meaning our room wasn't secure, the lady on reception on Friday evening said she would send someone to fix it. We arrived back later to find our room still wasn't secure, we went back to reception on the Saturday morning to let them know and someone eventually repaired it.
We didn't have any coffee in our room and i asked at reception for more, i was asked how many i needed, i said ten please as me and my friend like strong coffee so that would be five cups only to be told we don't normally give that amount out. There are signs in the room to say ask at reception if more supplies are needed and then made to feel small. More customer service is needed.
The bar was the slowest service and you lose the will to live waiting. The staff don't look happy in their work apart from Bethany who was excellent.
I know this isn't the hotels fault but we were evacuated at 6am on Sunday morning as someone was smoking in their room. This was a rude awakening. They stood us to oneside. No-one took a register to see if everyone was out.
I've never had a hotel stay like it!
