Reception staff were very professional and friendly
The water was off in my room and they come to fix it and this was managed immediately
The room smelled of smoke and unfortunately I think staff were smoking in it when cleaning
I think it was overpriced too

The hotel is not bland, and the rooms are very spacious. Good breakfast. Not a big choice in the evening menu but fresh. Lovely spa
The staff are exceptional- nothing is too much trouble.
My only gripe is a fixed shower over the bath, rather than a walk-in shower

Great location. Walking distance to city centre. Very comfortable rooms, we got an upgrade to a superior double, which was really spacious and included a sofa. It was nice to have a bath as well as a shower. Slept well, no noise, just the right temperature and bed very comfortable.
Self-serve breakfast with excellent choice.
Fab gym with a good range of modern equipment. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Unfortunately there was a problem with the hot water for part of our stay. We were able to use the showers in the leisure centre, but the water had to be turned off entirely for a period of time while it was sorted. Staff did keep us informed and appeared to be doing all they could to address the issue.
The leisure facilities are only open 4-8, which is a bit restrictive. We sadly didn't use the pool because of this. Facilities looked excellent, however.

Lovely friendly greeting upon arrival, very helpful and clear information given. Room spacious, clean and quiet. Very welcome access to spa and again this was staffed by friendly members of the team. A fantastic base for any city trip.

Not alot, very badly run hotel
I had 5 rooms booked , I was charged for 6 rooms ( still not been refunded) . On check out I was accused of only paying for 3 rooms and was told i would be charged . I showed proof of payment , eventually he apologised but was very ignorant. This morning day after stay I have received an email looking again for payment for these imaginary rooms
On final day , rooms had no hot water for shower, 2 of the guests of our party were in bed , when another stranger used his card and entered there room , serious safety and security concerns . Both booking.com and the argyle will not be used again by me .
I am waiting for my refund for the extra room I paid for
