The location was lovely and quiet, staff were lovely and couldn't have done more for us. The exterior is fabulous and the view from the restaurant and bedroom iis incomparable. Paying extra for access to the leisure facilities was very worth it, the pool and jacuzzi were so relaxing and the sensory shower was a wonderful experience. Dinner was delicious. Bathroom facimities were fantastic as well.
Food was very overpriced, our evening meal was very tasty but it was almost £200 for the 2 of us. Breakfast was very lacking, the continental was good but unfortunately the quality of the cooked breakfast wasnt uo to standard. The "extra large king bed" we booked was actually just 2 single beds pushed together, you could feel the divide in the 2 mattresses and it was quite uncomfortable.

The location was just outside Glasgow with great views and great facilities. It was clean and comfortable
Some of the staff were rude - particularly one guy at the spa (might have been the manager as he was not behind the desk). Some were pleasant and helpful - mixed bag. They show facilities but only after booking do they send messages about needing to book access to the pool etc. If you are busy it is very easy to miss it. The staff were rude about it, but the day after I overheard someone being told the same and arguing about it. The day before they made me feel I was the only one and it was all my fault.
The restaurant, while pricey, is a bit hit and miss. Some dishes are bad experiments with some a bit too salty or just not well balanced flavours for something so upscale intending. Avoid scrambled eggs at all costs. The venison was delicious as was the lamb starter and the chocolate brownie. The curried scallops did not quite work as a dish.

The spa facilities were brilliant so many different options, the outside facilities were outstanding!!
The food in the restaurant was really good and staff were very nice.
Our room had no service or WiFi compared to the rest of the hotel.
There was also a bright light in the room on the ceiling which made it a bit difficult to sleep

We are not golfers but chose this hotel to stay at on a little road trip along West Scotland. It is set in a beautiful location with gorgeous views. Our room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of towels, bottles of water and Tunnocks! Lovely and clean, very nice bathroom and little balcony area. Added bonus of a coffee machine. We had a very nice breakfast the next morning with a wonderful view overlooking the golf course. Lots to choose from and the cooked breakfast was delicious! My daughter very much enjoyed the freshly made pancakes! Lovely, friendly staff too
Only a tiny thing but the hotel is a bit of a maze and the door to the breakfast room was shut so we were confused as to whether we had got the right door. The same with the reception door coming from the winding passages in the hotel. However this is very minor and it is signposted, it could maybe just do with signs on the actual doors.

Lovely rooms and restaurants
The fact that as residents were werent allowed to use spa until a night time due to spa packages after paying nearly 800 pound for 3 nights was shocking so we never got to use the spa which was the main purpose of booking this hotel and also the fact that we would have had to pay 25 pp to use it

Excellent spa and treatments at suitable prices. Very nice room.
Sad that the main house was uninvolved in the hotel experience. The restaurant food was disappointing - we were aware of three dishes being returned to the kitchen and our own main courses were lacking in flavour. A bar is necessary for pre and post dinner drinks - there was no one around so the atmosphere in general suffered. Our dinner was also disturbed by the setting of breakfast tables
