Very Poor
The bed
Squeaky floor boards everywhere.
Corridors and bedroom
Booked payed for in February.
Going to wedding nearby and asked for early check-in, told it would cost more ! We were already paying nearly £200 to have a few hours in a bed
Told them would then be arriving late.
Booked in on line
Received a text at 10 o'clock, asking to let them know if we were coming and if we didn't let them know they would cancel the booking!!!!

Pleasant
Check-in - room was on a ‘dogs-leg’ (corner) & rather claustrophobic & cramped. Felt like I’d bump into something whilst visiting the bathroom during the night. Reception happily swapped this for another room which was much better. The staff on reception were super & happy to oblige.
Breakfast- great with lots of choice. A shout out to the slim Asian man who served us so well.
Dinner - generous portions.
The young lady in the spa who gave us a tour was fabulous: warm & professional & so enthusiastic about the spa, rightly so - it’s a beacon to how all spas should be.
Poor communication. I’d apparently initially booked b&b for only one person £368.00 (plus £80.00 for dinner for 2 nights) a total of £448.00, instead of booking for two people. I informed the hotel of this long before our stay, to which they amended my booking & advised it would cost an additional £15 to pay on arrival directly to the hotel. I never questioned what this was for exactly but with hindsight I should have. The bill on arrival was £463.00 which we paid.
We were told before dinner that we could choose up to a total of £40 per person from the menu. Upon checking out, we were presented with a bill for £87.47, rather a surprise.
The fantastic spa was only available to book for £25 each for a 2 hour slot from 7-9am or for 2 hours during the evening - when we’d be ready for dinner. Rather disappointing because to enjoy this fantastic setting and all it offered is surely worthy of 4 hours. We would feel we were rushing to sample all that it offered; very disappointed in this aspect of our stay.

Wonderful
Lovely hotel overlooking the river Clyde and their gold course. Lovely rooms and gardens. We had the half board package and the breakfast and dinner in the Vista restaurant were very good. We used the spa which was an additional £25 pp and this was very good. A lovely size indoor swimming pool, bar and relaxing area and outdoor jacuzzi and sauna. The outdoor jacuuzzi was lovely especially with the amazing view.

Pleasant
The property itself was lovely. The location was convenient, the rooms and overall spaces were spacious, clean and well maintained. The dining areas were particularly pleasant, bright and very clean.
I would especially like to mention ( Rachel and Olivia) who were absolutely wonderful. Both were extremely kind, friendly and helpful, and they genuinely made the stay more enjoyable. They were always welcoming and willing to assist with anything we needed.
The reception team was also excellent. They were available whenever we needed them and responded very quickly to any requests or questions. Their professionalism and attentiveness were greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately, my experience with the spa was very disappointing. I had booked my appointment for a specific date and was certain that I had selected the correct day. However, when I arrived, I was told that my booking was actually scheduled for the following day, after my check-out.
What was most disappointing was that no reasonable solution or alternative was offered, and there was no compensation for the inconvenience. I understand that mistakes happen, but the situation was handled poorly and left me feeling that the issue was simply being dismissed rather than resolved professionally.

Very Poor
Facilities where good
The fact that you pay £340 for the room and still have to pay £50 to use the spa and night and then £50 to use it in the morning. Shocking.
The room was far too warm and the radiator would not go off and with the wid owls open we were at the front of the property so had to listen to everyone coming in drunk etc.
