Comfortable beds
We had a double room end suite which was lovely except we shared a window with the ajoining room. This meant there was a gap in the length of the wall with zero sound instillation.
Also our door was impossible to close quietly

Very friendly staff + Spacious rooms + Very spacious lounges + Open kitchen and cooking facilities available at any time + Unlimited hot water available for making tea and coffee + A fount of fresh drinking water available at the reception desk+ Amazing historic interior and architecture + Victorian ceilings and stairways + Great views on the Kelvin park or on the other Victorian buildings + Posh area of town + Sainsbury shop available not too far + Various eating facilities on Woodlands road
No towels for free, but as that is not usual in the hostelling business, it can hardly be reproached, but it would have been nice to have one towel.

Excellent location. Very easy to get into the city centre via bus, tube or taxi. Lots of things to do around the hostel such as pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes, etc. Was in a very fancy area with lots of big houses and expensive cars. The hostel had everything you could need big kitchen, drying room, conference room, lounge, pool table, ping pong table.
My only complaint was the hostel is very big so can feel like a bit of a maze and the kitchen is far away depending on where your room is.

Common ares were fine, available kitchen for cooking with all amenities. Twin room was ok.
Lack of electric kettle in the room. Having coffee or tea in the room would be appreciated, especially that to go to the kitchen you need to go 4 floors by the stairs from our room.
Broken mirror in the bathroom.
