Glasgow Youth Hostel offers 4-star VisitScotland accredited accommodations in a Victorian townhouse overlooking Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow’s lively West End, close to award-winning Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, numerous cafes, restaurants and bars. The hostel offer guests a great range of comfortable rooms with attached bathroom and spacious shared accommodations with private lockers. There’s also a self-contained apartment sleeping up to 6 people. Beautiful building with old english style interior. Spacious room with a nice view over a park. Clean and comfy
There was no elevator and no AC. The walk back from town went up a very long and steep hill.

A fantastic hostel! Everything was great. Located in an old terraced building above Kelvingrove Park with great views over the city. The area iis quiet and safe, but just a few minutes walk from the Glasgow west end. We stayed in a 4 bed private room with ensuite and there was loads of room. There is a separate toilet and shower which is great for people sharing. The common rooms are lovely and there is a fully equipped kitchen.
The only thing that I could think of is that in winter the old room with high ceilings might be cold as there was only one small heater.

It was a place to sleep, it had laundry, the bedrooms weren't filthy
Bathroom smelled like sewage and there was only 1 outlet in the room for 6 people/nowhere to charge your phone. Laundry services only allowed between 7 and 10 so the machines are always taken

The hostel is spacious and comfortable. Many living rooms were relaxing and the kitchen was always clean, and big.
The location. It's really far from the markets, bars, restaurants and center city. The bed had no light or even a curtain to provide more privacy.

Friendly, warm, professional and very helpful staff on arrival and departure. Claire, at reception on arrival, was so helpful. My private double room was basic, but it was what I needed. Decent bed, warm, shower and toilet, safe and secure. The overall location, for the purpose of my visit, was excellent and an easy walk to the city centre. Will definitely consider staying here again.

Large and very quiet
The amount of stairs we had to carry our luggage up.. I would think that when they know that there could be up to 4 persons in one room that there could be a lot of luggage that someone would offer to carry it.
