Disappointing
Recent renovation with good leisure amenities.
We couldn't open the room windows, so we had to use the air conditioner/heater, and there was a faint fume smell coming from it. Incredibly unpleasant, so we had to turn off the heater. Also, the duvet was so thin that we were cold. The bath was clogged when taking a shower, too. The food was also sub-par.

The location just off junction 19 of the M8, so the hotel was very easy to get to at the end of our journey. The car park is very large so lots of places to park. The room was a good size and the shower worked very well in the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Bus stops just outside the hotel to take you into centre of town.
Just one point. The duvet on the bed was very light and thin. More suited to summer than the middle of winter.

Breakfast food was good and reasonably priced. Pool facility and gym are nice. Parking convenient and reasonable.
I've stayed at many Marriott hotels, this one did not meet expectations, looks better online than in person. Expected refurbished room; room looked dated. Beds were not comfortable. Hotel is expensive for what you get. Lighting inadequate. No light over counter for tea service area (looked like there was a missing light here) and dim lights in main room where hairdryer needs to be plugged in.

The room was spacious and comfy and had all amenities apart from slippers and robes I believe you have to ask for them at reception we didn't know this until we got to the pool but it's quite a walk back to reception. The pool was a good size and nice and clean. However the doors on the sauna and steam had a big gap under so it was letting out a lot of the heat was adequate enough though. Would be a good addition to add a Jacuzzi/ hot tub.
The staff were superb kind friendly and knowledgeable. Good location into the city centre and straight off the motorway. Meals in the evening were nice and reasonably priced. Parking was discounted £12 if you're staying at the hotel...pay at the desk not the machines.
Breakfast was fabulous with a great choice. Overall a brilliant stay and would recommend and return.

It’s between the core downtown area and the West End. There is a Scot Rail station next door, and the walk to Glasgow Central is ~15 minutes. Transportation options are good. It’s an old building but recently renovated. Rooms are smallish but not unlike other UK big cities.
The beds are the most uncomfortable that I can remember in a Marriott, and I’ve stayed in many Marriott family properties. I’d stay around the West End or SEC next time. The area directly around the building is soulless, but you can easily walk to other areas.

The hotel is in a great location. The rooms were spacious and everything we needed. The leisure club is an added bonus and there is plenty of car parking spaces. All of the staff we met were absolutely amazing. I must make a special mention of the lady who was front of House at breakfast she had an individual rapport with every hotel guest and was absolutely fantastic.
