Set in a 19th-century renovated bank, the Fraser Suites are just 1640 feet from Argyle Street, one of Glasgow’s main shopping streets. Satellite TV are provided in all apartments, which are located in Glasgow’s cultural quarter, Merchant City. A microwave oven and refrigerator feature in all apartments' kitchenettes, some include a dishwasher. Each spacious and contemporary living area has a work desk and DVD player, some feature large glass windows and a balcony. My husband and I both loved our stay here. The hotel is clean and beautifully furnished. Our room was large and comfortable. It was the perfect home away from home. The breakfast options were good. The property is conveniently located near restaurants, Tesco, and the train station. Being able to do our laundry was a plus. We hope to return in future stays.
Parking - we ended up with a ticket. There were issues with the dryers, but they were being fixed by maintenance almost immediately. This street is lively on the weekend

Kitchenette was convenient and adequately stocked. The room was a good size for 3 night stay. Laundry facilities were handy.
Pillows were not the best and bedding too hot with only a bottom sheet and doona, no top sheet. I find this way to hot to sleep under.

This was the last accommodation of our trip to Scotland, two nights in Glasgow. We chose it because it offered a kitchen and looked modern and comfortable in the photos. There was another option further from the center but without a kitchen, so we finally went with this one. Unfortunately, the experience was disastrous. Arriving in Glasgow on a Saturday night was a total shock: streets full of drunk people, vomit on the sidewalks, and even a bleeding man after being beaten. That chaotic atmosphere already made us regret choosing this city as the last stop. Although it was listed as floor 1, it looked like a basement, with high windows stuck to the ceiling that barely let in natural light. The smell was disgusting, dirty carpet mixed with accumulated dust. The walls were stained, and the skirting boards had a thick layer of dust. The bathroom, though more modern than other places on the trip, also had poor finishes and dirt. The kitchen and living room, accessed via internal stairs, were in deplorable condition: dirty kitchen with greasy walls, equally dirty and unusable sofa, and an overall constant feeling of neglect and disgust. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the TV was obsolete, without streaming apps. To top it off, the street noise was unbearable: shouting, music, broken bottles, and cars. Even with earplugs it was impossible to rest. Inside the building there was no peace either, as every time someone walked upstairs, the floor creaked nonstop. After complaining, the next day they moved us to another room on the third floor. The “feeling” was different: still dirty carpet and dust smell, but a bit cleaner than the previous one. At least the sofa seemed usable, and the TV had Netflix. That partial improvement left us with the impression that the hotel first gives out the bad rooms, and only if the guest complains, they agree to change you to a better one. Even so, the level was still mediocre and far below what you’d expect for this type of aparthotel.

Do not be fooled by the pictures on line! You have to ask specifically for an Executive Suite or you will be put in the “college student” apartments where the lampshade fall off and rooms haven’t been painted in 20 years!

I can’t say enough about how helpful and friendly the staff was upon my arrival. I arrived quite early, before standard check-in time, but they were all too happy to provide a room after I’d flown all night long. The room was large and comfortable, more like an apartment than a hotel room.

Spacious apartments, high ceilings, great location and priced for quality makes Fraser Suites a good venue for a vacation stay. The staff are helpful and very responsive to requests for refills, replenishments, etc. without hesitation. Most importantly the hot water shower pressure was wonderful after a cold day out.
A grand aparthotel must however keep up its maintenance. The furniture is tired and the big windows show wear and tear on the sides. The bathroom needs a few more towel hooks or a portable rack. The staff could also be more enthusiastic although the professionalism is there.

Location and the actual hotel itself was very nice
Didn’t sleep a bit for 2 days. Our room was directly above a bar that plays insanely loud music until 3am every night. The music physically shakes the room. When we asked to move or for a solution, the onsite staff said yeah sorry that happens but nothing we can do about it.

I have stayed at Fraser suites before and found it very nice. We were upgraded to a bigger room last time. This time we were on the First floor and we found it very noisy at night. I woke up twice during the night with the shouting and noise outside.
Also the bathroom mirror is too high up on the wall can’t see into it, toilet is also very high. Not for small people.

Our room faced a noisy street. Replacing the windows with something more modern would do a lot to keep the noise down. The old windows also let in the smell of cooking from nearby restaurants
