We come to this hotel everytime we stay in Glasgow, it’s central great location, spacious large bed rooms, comfortable, a nice relaxing swimming pool and a great breakfast buffet something for everyone and great quality! Staff very friendly and great with kids

During our stay at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Glasgow, we experienced significant issues with the heating system, which caused great discomfort for my family and me. On our first night, the room was extremely cold, even with the small radiator provided by the hotel. I called reception twice that evening, requesting either an additional radiator or for the heating system to be fixed. Both times, I was assured that another radiator would be supplied and that contractors would fix the heating system on level four, where we were staying, the following day. However, neither of these promises was fulfilled. No additional radiator was provided, and the heating system remained unfixed. As a result, my wife and five-year-old child became very sick due to the cold and are still sick.
The lack of assistance and the fact that we were misled on both occasions were deeply disappointing and difficult to accept.
On the second day of our stay, I went to the reception desk to explain the situation and complained about the lack of heating. After this, a second radiator was finally provided later that afternoon. However, the central heating system was still not repaired.
Day three, the same issue persisted, with no resolution in sight. This was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable, especially from a hotel under the Hilton brand, which is known for its quality. What was meant to be a memorable holiday for my family turned into a disappointing and stressful experience. As a husband and father, it was embarrassing to see my efforts to provide my family with a special holiday overshadowed by such poor service. Ultimately, we decided to rent a private apartment to ensure the remainder of our holiday was enjoyable.
This experience was truly disheartening, and I hope the hotel takes steps to address these issues to prevent other families from going through a similar ordeal.
The central heating system on the floor where we were staying (level 4) was not functioning throughout our stay. When I contacted reception for assistance, their responses felt insincere and unhelpful. They made false promises, likely just to get me off the phone, as it seemed they had no real way of resolving the issue. This lack of genuine effort and honesty was incredibly frustrating and added to the overall disappointment of our experience.

Pool was closed for duration of our stay due to “maintenance”. This was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel as we have 2x kids who love swimming but only found out when we arrived.

Location,,staff where Curtis, parking was ok ,the staff have given myself 20% of the cost and my parking fee back as professional courtesy due to the noise levels at night,that woke us up.
