I booked this hotel through Booking.com as an emergency stay for a friend who missed her bus. The booking did not clearly show a £100 holding deposit before payment. When she arrived, the hotel refused to let her check in without paying the extra deposit and would not even allow her to wait in reception. The room was not used. The situation was handled very poorly and without understanding. I would not recommend this hotel.
I booked this hotel via Booking.com as an emergency overnight stay for a friend who missed her bus. There was no clear warning about a £100 holding deposit before payment. When she arrived, staff demanded the deposit and refused to let her stay or even wait in reception when she couldn’t pay it. The room was never used. This was very stressful and showed a lack of care and customer service. I would not recommend staying here.

The staff were helpful during breakfast
.They also helped me up and down the stairs to the pavement.As I walk with a rollator. and need help IT was very convenient for buses.
Easier to use the TV although I was not in my very much.

The location and standard for the price could not be argued.
On arrival at the hotel we were informed of a £100 deposit system which luckily I had available in my bank account. I feel that this should have been made clear before booking the room as due to the time of the year it was a worry I would receive this back before Christmas. Had I known about the deposit I would have booked into an alternative hotel.
