The receptionist on arrival was brilliant. Breakfast was great and the staff are excellent. This is my favourite hotel in the area.
The room was a little tired and could have been a bit cleaner. Dinner was ok but expensive and there wasn't very much choice. Parking is expensive. Someone emptied a couple of crates of glass into the recycling in the middle of the night which was noisy.

Amazing views. BIG room. Fantastic staff, esp Ben + Dariusz. Couldn't have been more helpful. I'm disabled, on crutches & in a wheelchair too. Both these guys spoke directly to ME, and didn't look over me to speak to my hubby. Check in area could maybe have a lower height desk? Best accessible assistance ever. Food at brekkie was good & constantly replenished. A few 'disabled' tables nearer the buffet would be appreciated. It's hard to do a long walk using one crutch! We were seated at the reception desk!
NO disabled access to the pool !
I was SO disappointed coz apart from this, my stay would've been perfect. I felt SO let down! They even had a decent accessible changing room, but NO disabled access to the pool! I don't get it

Very Poor
Location and rooms were nice
Car park full.
Also the lifts were shocking. Big queues waiting for lifts. We were on the 15th floor and the lifts stopped at every floor on way down even when no one on that floor

Wonderful
Great location and views. Big and comfortable rooms.
The lifts. One was out of order (as usual!). When your room is on the 14th floor it is very inconvenient and time consuming. And the work being done was very noisy from 8.30 in the morning.

Good
Very friendly and welcoming staff, the food was nice, a good selection at breakfast.
The pool, sauna & steam room were good and included in the price
It is in a good location and I would stay again.
It would have been nice to have been informed prior to stay about the work being carried out and potential disruption as I may have booked a different hotel.
Is the same with most hotels but having 2 beds joined together to make 1 big one isn't the most comfortable as the gap in the middle causes isssues.
No plug socket where the Tea/coffee making facilities were in the room, so had to move near a plug socket.
The room could do with a lick of paint to freshen it up
The jacuzzi could be bigger for the size of the hotel, be lucky to get 4 people in it at the one time.
£12 a night for parking is quite dear, considering it isn't a secure car park.

Fair
Location was fab. Check in was quick and easy.
Bed was like concrete, one pillow lumpy and the other one hard so very little sleep. Maintenance banging and drilling started at 7.30am so wasn't a very restful overnight stay sadly.

Staff were really friendly, approachable and really helpful when needed. Location was ideal for local pubs and walks along the river. Lovely looking and clean hotel, enjoyed the pool facilities too
Room wasn't cleaned during the 5 nights although we did have the do not disturb sign on our door for 2/3 days of our stay. The other 2 days we didn't have the do not disturb sign on the door, we found it hadn't been cleaned, but we also didn't go and ask about this either with any staff, so possibly our fault to be honest! Haha. S

The breakfast was lovely everything was hot and fresh and was being restocked quickly so there was no shortage of anything , the variety of foodstuff was excellent there was something to suit everyone.
I do however have a complaint about the staff I dealt with by phoning to check on my reservation to be told bluntly that there was no reservation at all I was passed about to 3 separate staff only eventually to be passed to Craig who didn't understand why they couldn't find our reservation as he was looking at it while I was on the phone he was a star.
I was told by one of the previous call handlers that I would have to pay again to stay, I was so annoyed until I spoke to the wonderful Craig he turned a very stressful
