Google maps took us a route that was definitely not 5 minutes from the terminal. It was a bit shorter in the daylight once we cut through car parks but still not 5 minutes.

Location great with only a few minutes drive from long stay car park before flying on holiday
Was not aware that car park at hotel was not included in my booking. Did not expect to pay £18 to park overnight

I've never scored a hotel so low before. Unfortunately I have had to score this so badly as when we arrived at the hotel at 8pm,which we had booked and paid for, we were told due to a system failure there were no rooms available. Luckily they managed to book us into the Holiday Inn close by, so we were still able to walk to the airport the following morning for our early flight. The lady on reception was very apologetic, but we were told by the Holiday Inn that the Courtyard by Marriott have a policy to over book, so it felt like we had been lied to and it wasn't due to a system failure. We have emailed to ask for an explanation but await a reply. I'm sure the hotel would have been fine had a room been available, but this is just to warn you that your room may not be guaranteed, even if you have paid for your room. I don't know what would have happened had the Holiday Inn also been fully booked and we had arrived at 11pm after a long journey with an early flight the following morning. If Marriott have a policy of over booking I think it is unacceptable and unfair on the customer and reception staff who have to deal with unhappy customers.
The fact there was no room available after we had booked and paid for it, and we think we were lied to for the reason why.

Arrived at midnight to be told they had overbooked, and moved me to a hotel back in town. No prior warning, so i had already travelled FROM town to be near the airport. Poor communication.

Location and price were excellent. Room was attractive and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were all very polite and had a good attitude. The bathroom was in good condition and very clean.
The shower was in the bathtub, which had very high sides and a slippery surface. This makes it difficult to get in and out without falling, especially for short and/or elderly people. The food at the restaurant was just OK.

Style of the rooms, beds, pillows bar& shop in the lobby. Love the courtyard product from M. Staff were very helpful too.
Access from the airport terminal was very tricky with a baggage trolley and children which included going under car park barrier and crossing a busy road. Terrible. We took a taxi back to the terminal the next day.
