The hotel is well placed and the staff are great. It’s pretty cool looking and I have stayed here twice before and it’s a great location.
The place is looking shabby and needs a facelift in my opinion. The rooms are worn now, as are the facilities in the room. The tablet for controlling the room is hit and miss. It works for some things but not for others. Lights were fine but the aircon and TV were buggy on the tablet. Also it’s scuffed, scratched and has hairline cracks so could do with a refresh. The TV just kept cutting out when we were there, so we ended up not watching it beyond the Chromecast facility. The aircon temperature doesn’t go below 18degrees for some reason so during a heatwave like this week, or if like me you like it slightly cooler, it’s a bit warm. There are two lifts for the whole hotel. One was out of action for our full three days there which put massive pressure on the other lift. Add on to that the fact the staff were using the customer lift for cleaning and moving stuff around, it took on average 20minutes plus to get from the lobby to your room. We were not on a high floor.

Location was great, would be especially good if you're getting the bus. Room was very modern, clean, and shower was good. Bed also fairly comfortable. Staff were mostly nice.
The bed having no surround due to fairly compact room in our case was a little annoying since if you want out you have to clamber over someone next to you. Due to compactness nowhere really to sit in the room - the idea is you socialise instead in the main areas of the hotel. Smart lighting it a little bit of a faff to use but also quite good.

Location
If I’m paying nearly £20 for breakfast I expect a choice of eggs not basic scrambled eggs. The excuse that the kitchen is not set up for it is not acceptable - the owners have the ability to change this they just don’t want to.

Probably the coolest hotel I've stayed in. Soooooo many cool features in the room. I'd certainly stay here again. But, if you enjoy the traditional style of being treated like a guest by a real interacting person, this isn't the place for you. Which, I guess, is more fitting with the demands of the current age

I liked the location and the layout of the room.
I was confused how to find things like the iron and ironing board. I asked the receptionist that I was here to check-in and they asked me to use the iPad instead. I ended up needing some assistance with the iPad, so this seemed obsolete. I can understand that this would be more useful if someone was not on the desk. I prefer to have a kettle in my room.
