The room was well appointed and the bed was the largest we had in our 3 hotels in Scotland. The tube was a bather's dream and for an older guest offered an easy way to have a long relaxing bath. The hotel is just down the street from Queen Street Station and a 15 minute walk from the Central Station and is ideally situated for strolls around the city. Staff was very helpful with directions and the restaurant on the 7th floor has a wonderful view of the city. We had lunch there when we arrived in mid afternoon and breakfast the next morning. Both were very good.
I don't have anything negative to say about the hotel.

The location is really good.
The lifts weren’t working on arrival so we either had to use the stairs or go through the staff lifts which weren’t exactly nice for the property.
The shower in the room wasn’t up to standard.

We got an upgarde which was a lovely bonus! Hotel was very nice - however the only slight probem was the matress. It was a bit on the thinner side and as a result kept coming away from the lovely headboard.

Proximity to the train station was wonderful. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.
Beds had no top sheet and the "comforter" was very heavy. It felt like it was filled with foam rubber. Not breathable at all. I roasted my first night despite having the air conditioning as cold as I could get it.
