Gorgeous place. Hotel is beautiful. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The door staff are amazing! Breakfast is beautiful. Everything is there and everything has been thought of. Social hour between 4-5 is lovely. This is not our first visit and we’ve loved it each time. Spa was lovely and part of the reason we go back.
The toilet had no door on it. I’m sure when we’ve stayed before it had a glass door. Just seemed odd. Our room was on the road and it appeared they used this as a race track until 1am in the morning so it was very noisy. The hotel had a burst water pipe and therefore limited hot water. Obviously both these things are out of the hotel’s control but last time we stayed they were doing emergency road works through the night so maybe we are just unlucky!

Beautiful hotel and lobby, and the spa facilities were excellent. Lovely breakfast and service as well.
The spa was crazy packed during hotel guest hours, there seemed to be no “rules” around limited (6) chairs so people just left towels or bathrobes to claim them without ever sitting on them. It was very busy and hard to fully relax given the volume of people in the spa at one time.

A wonderful girls’ night away! Everything was faultless, from check-in and valet parking to the restaurant, social hour and lovely spa. Special thanks to David, the head concierge, whose warmth and attentiveness really made our stay. A real credit to the hotel. We can’t wait to return!

The location is fantastic—perfectly situated on a quiet square while still being within easy walking distance of Glasgow's city center. The general atmosphere of the hotel is also very pleasant, balancing historic elegance with a stylish, relaxed lifestyle vibe.
While the rooms and bathrooms are perfectly nice, they felt quite basic for a property with a 5-star rating. The layout and fixtures lacked the premium, high-end "wow factor" and luxury details you would traditionally expect.

From check-in to check-out it was just perfect. Colin was a sweetheart that checked-us in, so friendly and welcoming. Anna down at the spa completed a lovely Hot-stone massage for myself. She was professional, friendly and kind. Lovely facilities and perfect for a bliss few days away.
