Wonderful
Helpful welcoming staff. Comfortable quiet room with tea and coffee making facilities. Dinner was very good. Location is perfect for our needs.
The room we had this time has no view only a dormer window and the bed only has power points on one side. No USB ports. I stay here quite often, and this is the second time I have had issues with the shower- however this was rectified very quickly and efficiently.

The whole place was better than expected and was great value for money. Breakfast was good.
We'd have like to have a meal, but we arrived just a bit too late, so had to make do with a sandwich.

Food was good plenty of fresh choice at breakfast interior of bar and restaurant was lovely staff really friendly

A lovely clean comfortable room although it wasn't the biggest. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Lots of choice at breakfast. Pleasant attentive staff

Very much a great little hotel to stay.
Excellent food and service.

But it was looking tired .
Scuff marks on the walls.

Location, general ambience of the village and the hotel
We booked two rooms - Superior Doubles and they were quite different. One had nice tartan cushions and a rub on the bed which made it look really nice and a little more luxurious than the other room which had not.

The hotel is overlooking a park, which was unexpected. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was fairly small but well equipped, and the shower was my favourite on our trip. We didn't order any food.

It was a little too dark inside when we first arrived I thought there was a power cut, drinks are very expensive breakfast over priced and didn’t think the room was worth £40 for an upgrade seemed the same as a normal room

Location. Used hotel a number of times and do like the ambiance. Staff are helpful. Really nice cosy little bar at back of hotel.
Even though functions are on there is never any noise issues.
No hot water in room. Definate noises through the night, fans, refrigeration unit or laundry next to or under room. Checked with staff around 1am. They remarkably heard or knew of nothing.
Had to report again next morning and duty manager did get us another room. But still water runs luke warm and cold. Staff were helpful.
