The paid breakfast was a winner for me. Even though it says continental breakfast, in poshy hotels and elsewhere that generally means just a few croisants and coffee. But this one was full on with various hams and cheeses, yoghurt, cereals, juice, tea, coffee, croisants of course, toast, butter and tiny cute blueberry home made muffins. I enjoyed breakfast daily and to me it was well worth sitting in the breakfast room, chatting with other fellow travellers. The kitchen/breakfast room was clean as a whistle and very nicely decked out. 10/10 for that!
The building was amazing.
But the dark carpet in the girls dorm was a little out of character with the entire building inside, which was beautiful, bright, upbeat...but the girls dorm carpet colour was not expected.
The beds all had privacy curtains, were very comfy and had a very comfortable heat in the room.
No comfy complaints, only a decor note, that to me is really nothing to do with warmth, safety, dry, and great dorm mates.

In fact, I really liked everything. It’s a very budget-friendly hotel for the big city in the UK.
The only downside was that I arrived about an hour and a half before the official check-in time, and they asked me to pay £10 for early check-in. I think that’s quite a high charge for such a short time. It felt a bit unfair. If the room is already ready, I don’t see any problem with letting a guest in an hour or two earlier.

Wonderful
Convenient for passing through Glasgow as an easy walk from both train and bus stations. I felt safe ( 69 year old woman) walking there at 930 pm.
I liked the privacy curtains in the bunk beds and the crisp sheets and lovely towels. Nice to know that the reception is staffed 24 hours ( in case you are delayed or need help).
Even a plug and a wee shelf for your phone by each bed. And the four bedrooms room had en suite facilities including a bath. It was quiet at night and the other people didn’t disturb me.
The beds are allocated and I got an upper bunk. I wish I’d thought of asking for a lower one.
