The property was well located near the city centre and very accessible to nearby shops and restaurants, plus the staff were very nice and kind.
I can’t really complain, my experience was great overall.

The staff on reception, particularly the kind lady who was on early in the morning of the day I left at around 6.30am, were very friendly and helpful. The hostel is well furnished and comfortable. My bed was comfortable enough although it shook whenever the person down below got in or out plus getting in and out of a top bunk proved to be pretty challenging for an overweight middle-aged person like me. If I'm ever staying there again I will need to arrive earlier in order to claim one of the lower bunks as it's no fun struggling in and out of a top bunk to go to the loo in the middle of the night.
I was bit taken aback on discovering the hostel had no kitchen - I've stayed in quite a few hostels in different parts of Scotland over the years but have never come across that before. However, that information was probably provided before I booked the bed and I just failed to spot it. Thankfully there's a machine in the lobby which dispenses hot water as well as tea and coffee so I was able to add hot water to my Oats So Simple porridge pot. The window in the room was kept open all night as it was very warm in the room with four of us in it and there was quite a bit of noise from folk shouting outside at points during the night but that's a fairly common issue with city hostels.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Being able to enter at all times is nice, it's also reasonably close to the city center. There is even a metro station nearby.
The bunk beds have a metal sheet on which the mattress rests. The mattress being on the thinner side made it a little too hard for me due to that. Tho I know that some prefer that, so this is just me nitpicking.

Poor
Budget friendly and location is quite near to chairing cross station which is great
Charging ports are a big problem. I used corridor area space to charge my laptop and phone during my stay. I was very disappointed with this. Moreover, sometimes WiFi is a problem to take video call within the room.
