Room was clean and its a quite area i went walking a lot so enjoyed that. Shops and bar right beside it.
Carparking space are extremely limited 5 in total. But if you arrive early with a car park on the street pay the street parking charge till 6pm then it's free to stay there till 8am. The machine to pay for the parking is right across from the hotel. Coins only.

Location was excellent. The building itself was charming
Small beds. Not their fault. A bigger bed wouldn’t have fit

Good breakfast, good room, all good except late check in.
Just the 3pm check in. A bit earlier would have been better.

Disappointing
1- friendly and helpful staff.
1- no tissues in room.
2- no complimentary water bottles and fridge in room.
3- breakfast time was too early and short.
4- not worth the money.

Excellent value, comfortable bed, bright new bathroom with lovely strong shower. Great position for transport links and Kelvingrove and West End. Loads of restaurants close by. Parking available too.
Breakfast used poor quality ingredients - give it a miss!
Cheap coffee and tea. Fatty sausages, salty bacon, rubbery eggs ……

Tea pot in the room, towels were clean
Upon arrival, I provided my booking details and confirmed that I had already paid in full for my reservation via Booking.com. The receptionist issued one room key and asked me to sign an additional form. At the same time, I was told that I must provide my credit card details and pay an additional £1 as a “security deposit.”
When I questioned this, I was told that I had not actually paid for my stay. I explained that I had indeed completed the payment in advance through Booking.com. The receptionist then insisted this was not a payment, but a mandatory deposit, and that the form I was asked to sign allowed the hotel to charge my card at any time for potential damages.
I was further told that the hotel “has no relationship with Booking.com” and that “Booking.com does not provide guest data.” This directly contradicts my booking experience, since I provided my card details to Booking.com and paid in full when making the reservation. The hotel also stated that I should have checked their own website for all policies. I found this surprising and unreasonable, as I rely on the information provided on Booking.com where the reservation was made. All essential terms and conditions should be transparent on that platform.
Throughout the interaction, the receptionist repeatedly dismissed my concerns, saying “you don’t understand,” and accused me of being “difficult” and “inadequate.” This manner of communication was unprofessional, disrespectful, and made me feel pressured, anxious, and uncomfortable. Instead of resolving the issue, I felt manipulated and gaslit.
During check-in, I also witnessed concerning behavior from the manager towards the female receptionist. He spoke to her in a commanding and dismissive tone, even pushing her to act quickly, which demonstrated a lack of respect. Combined with how I was treated, this reinforced the impression of a broader pattern of unprofessional and disrespectful conduct towards women.

Disappointing
The location in the proximity to U of Glasgow neighborhood suit me well. I enjoyed a night walk and felt safe. The room itself was satisfactory
The cleanliness was not up to my standard: the towels seemed not so fresh as well as the smell. The breakfast was bad - the products were rather cheap and of low quality.
