Fair
It was good value for money. The stay and the comfort of the room was passable. The staff was extremely friendly though, they have parking at the back, but we were told that only upon asking as there are less spaces
Room was very boxed and we were given a small room downstairs. The bed was small and the room seemed very stuffy until we opened the windows. Had been cleaned, but smelled very musty

Nice area. Nice warm room. Loved the bath. Tea etc appreciated. Would of been nice to have had couple of little shower and shampoo items and bottle of water too.
Noisy people coming in early hours.

This was the Budget Single Room, down in the basement. But I thought it was lovely. Plenty big enough for one, very comfortable, with a Double Bed. TV in a good spot for sitting back and relaxing. Tea and Coffee making facilities, Ginger Biscuits, hair dryer and even a phone, which you don’t see in most hotels of this price, and a radiator (to dry any wet gloves). The Breakfast was very nice! And filling. It was definitely a better room than I expected, and I’d book it again.
It’s not that I didn’t like these things but they may be issues for others. The window looks out into the inner courtyard, which local residents can use, which has a dome like shelter. You may need to draw the full curtain (when undressing), as the net curtain doesn’t create enough privacy. If you are in the Argyll Guest House, you will have to cross over to the Argyll Hotel to have breakfast, which wasn’t a big issue for me as I was already dressed to leave. But you might not want to walk over in your PJs. The shower is a bit small, but has good pressure..

Wonderful
Great location with pubs, lots of restaurants around. Bus stop outside the hotel to go to the city center.
Great room, nice design and new bathroom.
My room, the 21, was facing the road and it was noisy in the late afternoon and evening.

It was close to public transport links, the room was a reasonable size. Liked the facilities in the room especially the biscuit
I had a two night stay, the first full day I left the room and came back to find indications that someone had been in the room. It took a bit of time but I figured housekeeping had been in, wasn't aware that they would be going in, that's something that I should have been made aware of. Also the bathroom was a little small ( I'm a bigger person so definitely need a bit more room to manoeuvre). I did mention this and was told that I could have requested a room with a bigger bathroom, again as a first time visitor I wouldn't have been aware of this

We stayed for 1 night in Glasgow and the Argyll guest house met our expectations . The bus stop is 1' walk from the guest house and the centre is approximately 15' by bus. The room was clean and so beautiful! The curtains and pillows were in kilt colours and gave a "Scottish" sense in the room. The staff was kind and helpful.
The only negative thing is the lack of soundproofing. We could hear everything from the other rooms and the steps from the corridors upstairs!
Also , the breakfast was included and although it was really rich, I didn't like it.

Room 5 was on the ground floor, spacious with a very nice modern bathroom.
