We booked a twin room and a double - the twin was more like a family room. The facilities in the twin were great. We had a small double room which was adequate for what we needed. The breakfast you get in the hotel was really good. The staff in the restaurant made sure we had everything we needed.
The one real gripe was parking- we chose the Argyll because it was close to the university, which we were visiting the following day. Parking is free over night but from 8am it’s £1.20 for 15 minutes and only for 3 hours. We were told of a long stay car park which we then used after 8am once we had packed all the luggage back in.

It was a great location, lovely, clean simple room and a hearty breakfast. Very good value for money and I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay .
