Poor
Only The Location and the offer free parking onsite, although that is just limited to 6-10 Spaces, which can get full very quickly, so if you are arriving late to the hotel Expect to park in the Paid Parking Zone of the street
The hotel is listed as a 4-Star, I would personally not even rate it 2 stars, I have based my review and opinion on the below facts:
1- There is an extremely tiny Reception which runs for limited hours during a day, a 4 star hotel in 2026 could have a 24/7 Reception
2- There is no Lift in the Building, I was given an Attic Room on the 3rd Floor, Traveling from the UAE, I was on a long trip, I had 2 bags each weighing 25kgs, so it was hell for me to carry all my luggage up all those stairs!
3- The Washrooms are horribly Sized, extremely small on top of that the shower has really horrible Water Pressure, so don’t expect a good shower during your stay! my First Room had hot water, but I had changed my room on my 2nd, that room the shower had no heated water, and I checked out without taking a shower!
4- The prices aren’t the most expensive but not the most reasonable for what I got! please don’t just base your decision on the 4 stars awarded to this Hotel and on the reviews!
5- Finally, I don’t lie on my reviews! As I have given 5 stars to the friendliness of the staff, Mr. Neil at the front counter is an extremely kind Man! But the hotel is just not what you would expect looking at the pictures !!

Wonderful
Manager was a gem! Super lady that took great care of us and explained everything to us, including the parking. Parking was awesome too! Private. The hotel is very quaint, and I loved the style. And when the manager told us everything downtown for food or drinks is great, she was right! We had the best meal in all of our trip to Scotland, right there 1/4 mile from our little hotel. Fantastic atmosphere and vibe in that area. Super safe. Young and old out to all hours in the district!
Shower situation was interesting but worked well. The rooms could be refreshed in a more modern style and this hotel would be 10/10!

Wonderful
The location was great (although if you have a car and aren’t successful at grabbing one of the 8-10 “reserved” private spaces, public parking was VERY expensive). The triple room we had was spacious but for the very tiny bathroom (room 21). The water was nice and hot and the water pressure was fantastic. The breakfast was very good. The staff were great, especially Neil and Diana.
Our bathroom was a broom closet. It barely fit the toilet, sink and shower. There was no window and consequently, the room stayed damp which meant the towels stayed damp

Wonderful
Well located, close to Murano student dorms and Univ of Glasgow without having to be in downtown. Friendly and helpful staff make the visit feel more homey than a large hotel.
Expect a basic, clean, and functioning room with all of the necessities.

Wonderful
The staff was more than helpful and accommodating.
The room was extremely small. Considering the price, it's a bit too tight to be comfortable. Although the bathroom had good space.

Very Good
Location was great. Across the street from the Botanical Garden and near all the restaurants in the West End of Glasgow. Upscale and safe neighborhood.
Breakfast was good. Staff were very pleasant.
There is no elevator. Hard to carry luggage up really 2 flights of stairs to the first level of rooms.

Very Good
This hotel is a rare find. It is a small, two-story building in a fantastic location in the West End - close to the Botanical Gardens and Hillhead restaurants on a quiet, mostly residential street. Front desk staff was very helpful and welcoming throughout. Major bonus points for windows that open for natural ventilation and a radiator that warms up the room quickly (Glasgow's variable weather makes these two elements essential). Shower temperature and pressure were great. TV and wifi worked well. Plenty of space to store luggage even in a small room. I would stay here again on my next trip - mostly for the location and building.
The lack of a mini fridge is a problem for any kind of extended stay. No "please do not disturb" sign provided and housekeeping tend to come quite early - to be fair, I was out on most days by 10 am but others may wish to request privacy. The single room does not quite represent value for money.

Booked a single room as solo traveller. Had everything I needed. Good layout. Good size shower.
Free car park accessible down a narrow lane. Huge positive as parking in Glasgow is tricky and v expensive.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ambassador Hotel in Glasgow. The room was housed in a lovely old building and had a high ceiling and large front windows. The room was clean and contained all essentials and a large comfortable bed. The West End location was also perfect for us.

Perfect location for me. Staff extremely nice and helpful, room was sparkling clean and was quiet.
I am not a great driver and parking was a bit challenging. Fair enough, if others that have parked at property would have been more considered, things would have been easier for others.

Pleasant
It was local to the city bars and restaurants
The rooms were very small and noisy with floors and thin walls, the breakfast was ok but I would get coffee elsewhere. My biggest issue was parking at this hotel. If you have anything bigger than a city car it’s a big struggle to park at the rear of the property.
