Disappointing
Excellent location enables walking distance to center of the west end and to the university of glasgow
Some of the facilities feel quite dated, particularly the carpets, which are visibly stained. At the very least, I think the carpets would benefit from a thorough professional cleaning. The duvet and pillows also seemed quite old and could ideally be replaced with newer ones.

Neil gave us a warm welcome. He was the most gracious and attentive reception manager we came across during our week in Scotland.
Hoo boy....getting down that narrow alley to the parking lot was an adventure!

Disappointing
The location was good for us as we were visiting family in the area. It is a stones through from the Botanic Gardens.which are lovely.
The shower was good and parking was available.
The attic room ( room 15) was very poor especially for the price we paid. The room was cramped and there was a structure ( beam) next to the bed . This made it difficult to get out of bed without banging your knee. It felt very claustrophobic and I did not like it at all.
We were arriving past 10pm and I tried to alert the property as per requested did they not answer the phone They did answer email however quickly enough.

Everything was great. Friendly reception. Room warm, clean and comfortable. Window had view on to trees. There was a breakfast option but I did not book it this time. If I can catch another moment where my time and budget match for a foray out to Glasgow I would definitely return.

Lovely homely hotel. Next to the Botanical Gardens. Large Family room with a kitchen. Comfy beds. We had a great stay.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order, and was really good. The location was handy for Byres road, but was quiet. I felt very safe as a solo guest.
I couldn't fault anything.

I was at the Ambassador Hotel for 1 night as a solo traveller, so I had a single room. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was lovely (much nicer than I was expecting for the price of the room).
The hotel also benefitted from free parking.
When i'm travelling to Glasgow again I will stay here again
