The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were quiet and clean and bright.
The street parking around the hotel was £1.20/15mins, maximum stay 3hrs, though free overnight. The parking at Kelvin Bridge Park and Ride was full when we tried. It is closed overnight so not a great option even though it is good value if you can get in. Parking in that area is not easy or cheap, it is well served by public transport but that wasn't an option for us. That was the only negative

Room 1 is very spacious, though the bathroom is compact and my partner found that the toilet lid didn’t stay up and we struggled with the sink tap temperature a fair bit (it didn’t stay cold long) Room 1 is located on the ground floor by the reception and front door, so expect to hear a little outside noise however it didn’t disturb our stay in any way. We had breakfast included in the rate we chose however there are delicious breakfast options close to the hotel which we explored on our second morning. First morning’s breakfast in the hotel was fine, though the noise from the microwave near did set expectations low - it was actually substantial enough though the tattie scone lacked flavour. Not a bad full Scottish, but not inspiring and perhaps the breakfast experience could be improved. Overall, with the location in an ideal position and the room providing everything it should, I would stay again and happy to recommend The Albion The staff we interacted with were a credit to the hotel.
