No elevator and was on the top floor. Could use a light above the bathroom sink-NOTE bathroom was very spacious and had a warm bar to drape damp clothes on which was a big help.

The hotel is well situated and is cozy. Breakfast was good. Rooms look pleasant and clean. It was a good value for the price. I would recommend this hotel.
The only thing I didn’t like was the pillows and the mattress. The mattress was not soft and the pillows had an unpleasant smell. My husband didn’t have these issues, so maybe it was just my bed. The sheets were clean.

Extremely comfortable bed, excellent location, quiet neighborhood right by the park.
Walls were thin; could hear everyone coming and going in the hallway. Fellow in the lobby wasn't exactly rude, but wasn't very welcoming either. Seemed like checking me in was an inconvenience.

Great location near Glasgow University with its wonderful Hunterian galleries, the Kelvingrove museum and the Botanical gardens. Nice rooms and a lovely breakfast.
Their heating system is not the best - our room was rather cool 2 of our 4 nights

Alan was the star of the show. He welcomed us, cooked for us, and supplied recommendations and directions, and he was a font of information. It was great to have a friendly face each morning and evening and a well-prepared breakfast according to our tastes. The hotel was in a good location that allowed us to get to many places on foot, and the nearby affordable parking was handy when not using the car. Our room was clean and comfortable and served our basic needs. I'd recommend the Acorn for a stay in Glasgow.
I can't really think of anything that was not to our liking.

Perfect location close to park, university, museums and pubs/restaurants . Free street parking on weekends. Friendly and helpful staff. Made for a perfect Glasgow stop on way south. Highly recommend. Modern bathrooms. A real gem.

Comfortable, well-appointed room, sensible volume of tea, coffee and milk, and a tea pot :-) Openable window :-)
Next door had no volume control on the TV pm or am. Guest problem, not a hotel problem.
