Extremely comfortable bed, excellent location, quiet neighborhood right by the park.
Walls were thin; could hear everyone coming and going in the hallway. Fellow in the lobby wasn't exactly rude, but wasn't very welcoming either. Seemed like checking me in was an inconvenience.

Great location near Glasgow University with its wonderful Hunterian galleries, the Kelvingrove museum and the Botanical gardens. Nice rooms and a lovely breakfast.
Their heating system is not the best - our room was rather cool 2 of our 4 nights

Alan was the star of the show. He welcomed us, cooked for us, and supplied recommendations and directions, and he was a font of information. It was great to have a friendly face each morning and evening and a well-prepared breakfast according to our tastes. The hotel was in a good location that allowed us to get to many places on foot, and the nearby affordable parking was handy when not using the car. Our room was clean and comfortable and served our basic needs. I'd recommend the Acorn for a stay in Glasgow.
I can't really think of anything that was not to our liking.

Perfect location close to park, university, museums and pubs/restaurants . Free street parking on weekends. Friendly and helpful staff. Made for a perfect Glasgow stop on way south. Highly recommend. Modern bathrooms. A real gem.

A cut above most of the other hotels in the area. The staff are polite and professional and it's never a bother for them to store luggage before or after a stay. The interior has also had a bit of a refurb, and was never as tired looking as some properties at this price point in the area. It's also on a quiet side street while still being close to lots of pubs, restaurants etc.
