The receptionist/ cook was pleasant and made us welcome
the bed was not made properly, also holes in duvet cover, Bathroom has a rust mark on floor and there is expanding foam at the floor level, which has not been cleaned off.

No elevator and was on the top floor. Could use a light above the bathroom sink-NOTE bathroom was very spacious and had a warm bar to drape damp clothes on which was a big help.

We stayed for my work Christmas night out - Great location, short walking distance to both city centre and West End. Super easy to get into the property and got room on ground floor so no need to walk up and down stairs. Room was cosy and super clean.
There wasn’t much we disliked about the place or the staff — everyone was polite and helpful throughout our stay. The only minor issue was at check-in. The room had been booked by our finance manager, who was expected to make the payment at the time of booking, but the card provided was used only to secure the reservation rather than to take payment. On arrival, I was asked to pay, as the hotel was unwilling to charge the card on their system due to fraud concerns. Unfortunately, I didn’t have that card with me, so I had to pay personally. That said, I don’t blame the staff at all — it was simply a booking/payment issue and could have been avoided had the room been paid for in advance. I’ve stayed in many hotels where they usually ask if they should just charge the card provided at the time of booking. Aside from this small hiccup, it was a great stay overall.

A great wee hotel by the park in the West End of Glasgow, in easy reach of venues and restaurants. Was welcomed warmly on arrival, and the room was of a higher standard than I expected for the price. I opted for the full breakfast which was well worth it, and overall found the Acorn Hotel comfortable, clean, and very good value for this part of town. Will stay again when visiting.
