Staff were absolutely lovely, facilities were amazing - having a restaurant bar, gym, coffee shop all on site was great, hotel and roons were clean, location was convenient with Uber, beds were comfortable. Couldnt ask for more really!
Stay was a little expensive, although it was Edinburgh so to be expected.

No tissues in room. Limited toiletries ( ie no shower cap etc)
To climb in to bath for shower was very high and difficult. Dangerous

The hotel was clean, staff welcoming & helpful and we found our rooms to be well presented & adequate for our short 3 night stay. Couple of decor bits needed attention if we were going to be very fussy but they didn't interfere with our stay.
The breakfast was very good for a short stay & the bar was nice place to grab a bite or drink after a long day of sight seeing. The location was ok for either jumping on the bus or getting actaxi into the main spots. Overall would highly recommend the Village Hotel.

I enjoyed the bed and the staff was friendly. The process to check in was quick and simple.
The location was a bit far from the city centre which required a bit more time to get too and from. The room we got had the street lamp shine directly into my eye unless I close the blind completely. The sink would not clear up quickly, it seemed like it was either clogged so it was a slow drain, the shower was fine but the room service required me to manually add the pass to clean it which our room wasn't cleaned instead of the regular standard of cleaning the room is the standard and you put a door card indicating to not clean the room. The Price for the room and location is way too expensive for what it's worth. The TV kept turning off on it's own and the plugs were all on one side of the bed.

I liked the swimming for the kids and the tvs in bar with football to keep them entertained
Also the starbucks was a great added addition
Our toilet had a really bad smell
Very stale urine and there was ants in the shower base also there was not a lot lefr at buffet breakfast on arrivinv at resturant at 9am the kids didnt get much sp thought that wasnt really wortb the money

It’s location
The room and bed was dirty. We were given clean sheets and duvet cover and had to strip the bed and change it ourselves but there was no spare mattress protectors. The girl on reception said there was no housekeeping service and no manager on site so she was unable to assist. Is it even legal for there to be no manager on a bank holiday weekend?? The floor was very dirty and she did come back and gave the room a quick vacuum herself.
This trip was for my daughter’s birthday and I had let the hotel this in advance. Instead of making more of an effort it seems none at all was made. Very very disappointing and this really spoiled our pre ious time away.
