Wonderful
I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and I really appreciated the attention to detail. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome throughout my stay. Everything ran smoothly from check-in to check-out. Overall, an excellent experience — I’d definitely stay here again!

Wonderful
I am a wheelchair user. We had an accessible room. It was very well designed. The accessible toilet on the ground floor is well located. The accessible designs were as good as I have encountered with the additional benefit that the facilities do not look like a hospital.
Staff and service were proficient but impersonal and disengaged on a human level. The exception was when our room door lock failed. The maintenance staffer who came to fix it was very efficient and friendly and concerned to make sure that the door lock was resolved and the guests were happy too. The addition of the question "anything I can help you with today?" said with a sincere smile is one of the things that makes a difference between star ratings in hotels or me.

Disappointing
Hi
We stayed in a family room from Tuesday October 28th to Friday October 31st. We had a 7 hour drive from stockport to your hotel which we booked because it had a swimming pool for the children as it was their half term holiday. However when we arrived at 4pm we unpacked and went to the pool from about 5pm. At 5.30pm we were told that our 14yr old son had to come out the pool because of the time. We were not aware that junior swim times were restricted this was not made clear on the booking. My son could not even sit out of the pool on the side and wait for us. One of us then had to leave the pool too so we could take him back to the room. The next day we went to St Andrews to see the University for my 18th year old daughter. It was a long day and drive. We were unable to swim again this day because we got back at 6pm and my son was not allowed to go into the pool again so we did not want to leave him alone in the bedroom. I appreciate the gym and pool is open to the public but we also paid a lot of money for 4 day stay with no breakfast included. This price outweighs any gym membership for a year. On the Friday Oct 31st when we could finally all go into the pool as a family from 9am an aerobics class was on up till 9.45am so two thirds of the pool were unaccessible. My husband and I were sitting in the sauna room with others. The assistant came in at 10am and said she had to clean it and we all had to move out of the sauna. Why would you clean at that time when you have been open from early hours. We have never had that done to people in all the hotels we have stayed in over the years. We had to then leave the pool by this time cause we had to check out by 11am. Our stay was definitely not value for money on this occasion. We only had 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel in the room when we arrived as a family of 4 people. I had to then go to reception and request more.

This property is in a great location. Bus stop just outside takes you straight into the city. Parking was easy.
