Room was clean and the beds comfortable
The hotel looks old and tired and could do with some TLC. No warm water in the morning and the cooked breakfast was poor

Lovely old building, the room was spacious and clean. The staff were lovely.
They says it’s a pub downstairs with a restaurant but I wouldn’t say that it was at all.
The location wasn’t ideal for getting into the city. The bed needs to be sprayed with WD40 it was extremely creaky.

The food and the night manager.
The list is long. Some sort of liquid had previously been dripping down all the bedroom walls. The room was filthy except the bathroom. There were spiderwebs everywhere. The bed frame was not attached and was a good 3" lower on one side. We moved rooms to a slightly nicer one but the first night the curtains and rod fell off the wall. The main lamp was broken and falling over.The furniture was extreamly outdated. Anything that was wood was noticably banged and really scuffed up.There was an old couch leaning up against the heat radiator (fire hazard). The motion sensor in the hallway was flickering like crazy. The cold water tap was literally a trickle. We needed a skeleton key to get OUT of the room which is incredibly dangerous. I absolutely would NOT recommend the Twin Lions unless you are desperate and faced with sleeping on the street.

No wardrobe just three pegs on wall.
So small bed butted up to door frame
This room cost £120

Disappointing
The men who looked after the hotel were friendly & helpful. It was good to have a parking space off road.
The hotel lacked any kind of warmth or welcome. No attention to detail, light bulb not working in the bedroom & huge sofa in front of the radiator. No view from our room. Breakfast was mediocre.

It was on a bus route
It was dingy, furniture tatty, tiny room with bathroom in a cupboard. I am a small woman 5'1" I just fitted in bathroom, hand basin just above my knees, infant size toilet, my 6'3" husband had to kneel on floor to see in mirror and shave.
