Convenient location with bus stops into the city and airport close by.
The bed was comfortable and the room relatively clean.
The owners were very friendly and the breakfast was very good.
I personally dont like sharing bathrooms but it was all I could find on a last minute trip to Edinburgh that was a reasonable price.
In this day and age shared facilities are a thing of the past.

Location versus price is excellent; 35min walk from Haymarket area. Ideal if you need somewhere to sleep, get cleaned up and have breakfast the following day. Free parking. Friendly chap on reception/serving breakfast. Used it for a gig at Usher Hall and would use again for the same purpose.
Bit dated, but quirky nonetheless. Didnt affect me, but did hear a fellow guest trying to a vegan breakfast, which they did their best with but clearly werent prepared for.

Property only has a 6.7 based on people who think theyre getting 5* for 70. Its a budget stay fairly close to the airport. Alexander was top class. I would return.

How central it was an plenty of parking space super friendly staff an not that far a walk to tram stop an bus stop just outside the hotel the zoo is just down thr road aswdll lots to do breakfast was amazing aswell

Staff very friendly and location excellent
Rooms quite run-down, could do with refurbishing. One shared bathroom didnt seem to have any hot water, lots of bits in poor state of repair.

The location to the city.
Very basic for almost 100e per nite. The room was bare and I had to request an extra duvet and more towels. No heat. Everything was on the cheap. No comfort. Breakfast was awful and again very basic. Fawlty towers comes to mind.
