The rooms were exceptional. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Couldn't fault the attention to detail in the rooms.
We ate in the restaurant and unfortunately this area is what let's the hotel down. We waited far too long for our food and when it eventually arrived it was luke warm/cold. My peppercorn sauce arrived on the table 20 mins before my steak arrived! The replacement sauce was also cold! 2 meals didn't arrive and had to wait an additional 10 mins for it to arrive luke warm. Granted, the service charge was removed from the bill, and our waitress was full of apologies, but nonetheless, it didn't make up for our bad experience. The tables hadn't been cleared and we were surrounded by dirty glasses, in the end we moved to a different area. Despite this experience 8 of our party decided to have breakfast but unfortunately the kitchen doesn't seem fit for purpose. I would stay at the hotel again but book elsewhere for food.

Good location, nice small hotel. Staff were really helpful. And beautifully decorated for Christmas.
The light switches were unbelievably hard to work out and control. There was no hot water from the tap in the sink in the bathroom and the tap itself was not practical, it was like trying to play with a tiny joystick.

Everything was just perfect from the beautiful Xmas and festive decor to the fabulous service , food , cocktails and room! Loved the ghd hairdryer and straighteners in the room too

Room spacious clean and the toiletries in the bathroom smelt delightful.
Not everyone drinks coffee or uses a coffee machine.
Water from the machine not hot enough for tea.
Needed a kettle option.

We got an upgrade to the junior suite which was phenomenal. The staff are so lovely, we didn’t feel like an inconvenience at all. The breakfast was 10/10, so many options it was difficult to choose. We’ll absolutely be back next time we are in town.

What can I say. What a fantastic time we had. The room was gorgeous and the staff were so friendly and helpful, especially our breakfast server. She went above and beyond. The food and choice were amazing and loved the birthday surprises.

The room was a king but we were contacted by hotel asking if we wanted bed converted to twin which we did.
Room was large and spacious and the walk in shower was massive
The room could get stuffy so had to keep fan on but wasn't an issue
