It was very clean and cozy, right next to the sea. We spent only a night there so couldn't explore much.
It has a bar, open for public very cozy but if you're looking for a good night sleep it's quite noisy until closing time. however right after they shut the door there's complete silence and peace.

Convenient for airport - high street location
Parking was very dificult. Had to park half a mile away and walk in the rain carrying luggage (even though Stag Head had a car park that was not available to guests).
Loud music til early hours.
No food available (without any warning).

The location was good for us.
The room was antiquated and so cold the radiator was obviously set by the owner as we tried to turn it up but it made no difference, the bathroom radiator didn't come on at all we tried to get it to work. Also tv wouldn't turn on. During the night the wind and rain was howling through the windows I was so cold I couldn't sleep. When we arrived we asked about food and were told that we can order up until 6.30pm when we went down about 5pm to be told the kitchen was now closed, so we had to go out to find somewhere to eat. We were there for a wedding at the Orroco Pier so it was a perfect location but unfortunately nothing else was perfect. We definitely would not recommend this property to anyone else. If you like to be freezing this is the place for you !! No breakfast but the Little Bakery next door was excellent maybe better to book as we were asked if we had booked a table at 9.30am but luckily they managed to fit us in.

The room itself was cosy and very comfortable
Shared bathroom and shower - for the money paid, the bathroom facilities are not great - its a very old building, but the shower is full of damp, probably needs an upgrade. Also, there was something called a breakfast room but not even the most basic breakfast was offered.

Handy location for Edinburgh Airport and sufficient on street parking at hand. Set in a very picturesque village overlooking the Forth Railbridge and Firth of Forth.
The room was clean, but unfortunately, the ensuite bathroom didn't have a shower over the bath, instead a shower head attached to the tap. It worked well enough, but a stand-up shower would have been better.
You should be aware that the rooms are located above the Stags Head Pub and the noise from the Juke Box can easily be heard late into the night. It's not unbearable but still loud enough to be able to sing along.

That's a joke! They advertise a breakfast with a menu.......there is NO breakfast!
I do not like being fooled! This place should not get away with advertising a dining room when there is none, and saying there is breakfast when there is not. I would never have booked here if I had known there was no breakfast

Wonderful
We liked the room above the pub, so traditionally English and in a way very cozy. The loud music in the pub was barely noticeable, so we had a very good night's sleep. Comfortable beds, basic bathroom, and a very good shower. The room overlooked the beautiful Forth Bridge. Very friendly and helpful staff. They booked a taxi for us to take us to the nearby airport (15 min).
