The interior design of bedrooms and bathrooms is tasteful
The rooms at lower floors have no sunlight and view. The windows all look to a light well or back alley

Location and cleanliness are its better qualities. Also, the rooms are large and nicely decorated.
Sub-par breakfast. Ran out of coffee one morning! Staff made up for it. Also, property is looking tired. Chips on walks, scuffs on paint, etc. we expected better at this nightly rate.

Bathroom was incredible, toiletries are gorgeous, the. Cafe bar is just beautiful and a lovely vibe with the piano player
Food was not so good , ordered steak baguettes, but they were inedible, steak was raw ,sent it back to be cooked more , but the steak was so tough we couldn't eat it , it was cut wrong so it was very tough , we did not eat them, breakfast on the first day my husband ordered a fried egg, three times he had to ask where it was ,on the second day I just wanted toast and butter , but you were out of stock of butter only flora available,which is horrible , so disappointed with the food aspect .

Lovely historical building and central location. The staff were wonderful and helpful.
The only drawback was the stairs from the train station but if we had known about the lift from the lower street level would have been helpful.

The staff were absolutely superb for our stay. They made us feel very welcome, were very friendly and went above and beyond to help us through our event.
The food at our wedding was superb, and had many compliments from our guests.
The front of house staff were great as well, always ready to help with our bags and to lighten the load.

Brilliant location, very handy to Waverley train station and the tram in from the airport. Rooms were huge and extremely comfortable, massive bed, daily newspaper delivered and a whiskey with lovely crystal glasses left out for guests to enjoy!
Moving around can be slow given there are only 1-2 small lifts but aside from that, faultless stay!

Amazing room, comfortable, clean and spacious. Location is excellent, between the Royal Mile and the Princess Street, couldn´t be better. Friendly and helpful staff at reception

Check in was simple, breakfast offered lots of choice, Reception staff were warm and welcoming, breakfast room staff were an absolute delight, location is perfect and so central, ambience of the room and the hotel is perfect, our room was quiet.
The pillows were a little lumpy and maybe needing to be replaced
