Friendly welcome with lots of information given. Nice, clean comfortable room. A really good selection for the continental breakfast that was included. Restaurant staff helpful and attentive.
As older people we found the hotel a little too far from Edinburgh centre and had to rely on buses to get back and forth.

I would have preferred the option of a cooked breakfast. This is what I thought we we getting when I booked . After booking it stated it was a continental breakfast
I've never slept so far away from my husband. Two single beds put together with mattress topper over them, one soft mattress and the other firm Not what we expected. Plus side there is iron and ironing board in room , shower was amazing and they do provide shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. There are also sealed toothbrushes with mini toothpaste and a razor . The staff were all very nice and welcoming . Just expected a little more from our room for the money we paid. We purchased our own snacks and wine for the room as theirs were over priced.

The venue was a really nice comfortable place to stay. The breakfast staff were friendly and attentive. The room was a good size and really nice. The location is about a 25 minute walk from the main centre for tourism but extremely accessible via bus transport. This venue is right beside Arthur's Seat which is a definite plus.
Given the value for money there isn't anything to dislike.

The location and beds were comfortable.
There was a blood stain on the mattress and mold in the shower. There was a light missing with tissue stuck in the whole and felt like the whole place needed a good clean.

Sadly there the room was filthy, the toilet hadn’t been cleaned (skid marks in it) and the sheets were dirty and ripped
