This small hotel is in a quiet road, yet next to transport links and in a walking distance from Uni. Room was spacious and nice, newly fitted bathroom. Breakfast was good, pastry was fresh and delicious. There is no reception after 8 -9 pm but that was not a problem for late check in. Overall it was a pleasant short stay.
I would have liked to have the option of cooked breakfast.

Friendly staff. Allowed us to extend checkout by a half hour.
Very good continental breakfast; plenty of fresh fruit. Raha and his colleagues were very helpful and friendly.
Just off excellent bus services into the city. Plenty of local shops and places to eat nearby.
One radiator didn't work, though additional heating was provided. Lighting in the room could have been better.

I had a fantastic stay at the Salisbury Boutique Hotel in Edinburgh. The location is excellent, just a comfortable walking distance to the city centre, yet in a quiet and elegant area. The room was stylish, clean, and very comfortable. What truly made the experience outstanding, however, was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. Their warm hospitality exceeded my expectations. I would fully recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Edinburgh and will definitely stay again.
Shower entry was a bit small for a big guy.

Beautiful building, the staff were really friendly. Walkable to the city centre and Waverley station. Good selection for breakfast and large clean room. Coffee maker and kettle in room. The hotel has a garden too which is lovely and great if you've got kids and you're able to grab a complementary coffee from the lounge and sit with it outside.
Lacked a little attention to detail. We asked for twin beds but they separated joined beds which must have had a mattress topper on. The mattress topper was doubled over on one of the single beds and the other bed had not topper on. The mattresses were not the best anyway but we were left with one uncomfortable bed and one bed that was like a marshmallow with a doubled over topper. There were loose floor boards in the middle of the room and the shower did not stay in place, no anti slip strips in the bath, no bath mat and the soap and shampoo did not fit in the dispensers making it difficult to dispense. Like I said, just a little attention to detail and for that reason don't feel it warrants 4 stars.

Room Size
Water wasn’t draining in bath room so sink and bath tub were full of water after a little use
Staff was rude and arrogant
Never seen in any hotel that you can’t touch the curtains and had to close the windows for privacy
Heating wasn’t good and small oil based radiator heater wasn’t enough for this size of room
When I have the feed back the management had come to me like I had make a crime to point out some thing.
