The room was extremely nice with great view of Edinburgh. Very handy for our plans, wedding celebrations within 5 minutes walk. Faultless room.
One morning the breakfast could have been better (not freshly cooked) but very good the two other mornings of our stay.

Wonky staircase, will ask for ground floor next time. Kitchen not well equipped. You could reheat a ready meal, that's about it.

The hotel advertised itself as pet-friendly, but when I arrived, I was told that my pets were not allowed to stay because I had not informed the hotel in advance.
However, I went to the front desk at around 10:00 a.m. and clearly informed the staff that I had pets with me. They did not tell me at that time that pets were not allowed or that I needed to provide any additional information.
Then, when I returned to check in in the afternoon, I was suddenly told that my pets could not stay at the hotel. Even more frustratingly, the hotel refused to provide me with a refund.
I feel that this is extremely unfair and misleading. The hotel clearly advertises itself as pet-friendly, I informed the front desk about my pets hours before check-in, and yet I was only told at the time of check-in that I could not stay with them, while the hotel still refused to refund my payment.
I strongly believe that this is unacceptable and could be considered a deceptive practice designed to take customers’ money. I would like this matter to be investigated and I expect a full refund.
If you do not accept pets, please do not advertise yourself as a pet-friendly hotel. This is misleading and feels like a deceptive way of taking customers’ money.

My husband and I love these apartments. We have stayed there several times on trips to Edinburgh and it is a special splurge. The spaces are lovey and comfortable and luxurious and the location is wonderful.
It is very expensive and with no air conditioning in the apartments it can be a bit uncomfortable in very hot weather.
